Chic home on Lake Austin with dock, lovely deck, vibrant interior & views

Check in is at 4pm, refused to let us check in 30 min early so we had to sit in the driveway and wait (which is fine, no big deal). Check out is at 10am and at 10:15 while I was at the boat ramp 3 doors down pulling my boat out, the owner came over and made my 80 year old grandmother and 18 month old baby stand in the driveway to wait for me…

Excellent stay. Very nice condition and great spot on the river. Perfect place for a relaxing vacation. Good beds and very clean.

It was the perfect getaway for my husband and me. The home was very clean and well stocked. We brought our fishing poles and caught several fish from the dock. Our kids came over and used one of the kayaks and we grilled some brats on the grill. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and we saw several deer.

Everyone loves the fact that it was so close to the water you could just walk down to the pier and get in if you wanted.

Nice, clean house. Was not able to use outside porch on Friday because man was cleaning boat all day (8:00-6:00 pm). Loved being outside the rest of weekend. Enjoyed our stay!

Grandkids voted this their #1. vacation spot to play/switch. My wireless is handicapped but did not feel excluded in the outdoor activities. The back patio was a cool dream to wakeup to with coffee. We shall return, next time.

The property was fantastic! It is a paradise. Right on the water. With the hill for the backdrop; ducks visit every morning; Deer in the area too (not in the backyard). We did paddle boarding, kayaking, and tubing. We swam in the lake. We had a canoe, but decided not to use it. All equipment came with the house. The restaurant Patrizi’s 0.5 mile from home was fantastic, so was JoJo’s bakery. We will definitely come back.

Location is fantastic and if you only need 2 bedrooms I’m sure it’s fine although there were only enough towels for 4. There were no extra sheets which we did not discover until 9pm when we tried to make up the sofa bed. We asked for sheets to be brought and after an hour were told it was too late and it wouldn’t be until the next day. Thus, my children had to sleep on a mattress (very thin couch mattress that made us get an air mattress for the next day)with no sheets. Additionally, there was dog poop all over the yard that we discovered when our child stepped in it. We were also greeted by a roach when we walked in. When we asked for a credit we were eventually given $20 off an over 2k bill for 4 nights. (We used one night on the front end just to be able to check in early enough to enjoy the day, we only stared three nights). I have yet to see the $20, as insulting as that is to make up for sleeping without sheets. We were clear about how many people were staying, it was clear we would be using the sofa bed. However, the location really is the best, just be aware to check linens and towels and yard early enough to get what you need.

Three friends and I had a delightful weekend beside Lake Austin…..comfortable outdoor spaces. We really enjoyed sipping coffee and cocktails overlooking the Lake. The home was clean and well appointed. Close to restaurants. Definitely would plan another stay!!!!

The home was absolutely perfect for us. Great spot right on the river with tons of water sport equipment. We were very comfortable in a lovely neighborhood where every day we were visited by a herd of deer that arent bothered by people. Would 100 percent recommend staying here.

What a wonderful stay we had!! It was perfect. It was spacious for two couples to stay the weekend. There were all the dishes and utensils you would need. We did pack foil. There was a lovely guest book of things to do and instructions. The house was easy to locate and lots of parking. The dock and lily pad were so much fun to hang out on that we didn't get to using the kayaks, canoe, SUP, or floats, but maybe next time! We used the grill which worked great and ate every meal outside because it was so lovely even in the July heat. We went over a holiday weekend so the lake was quite busy which can cause quite a few larger waves but in the morning and evening it was calmer. Check out time was 10am which is a little earlier for us as we wish we could use the morning to enjoy with coffee instead of packing up, but we understand the need for clean up time. Check out was easy, they do not request a lot from you as many rental properties may. Vacasa was easy to contact with questions and quick to respond. Everything was clean when we arrived. THANK YOU for this beautiful easy stay!! Would definitely recommend to anyone and hope to stay again sometime in the future.

The good: The house was on the water and had a well/stocked kitchen and plenty of beds for a large group. The master bed was comfy. We loved the neighborhood too. The bad: Unfortunately the lawn guys disturbed us two different times. Once they awoke me from a nap mowing outside the room. Once they leaf blowed the patio when we were trying to have private time on the couch in our pjs! There was also continuous construction noise from right across from the house. So, noise was a huge issue. The decor was distasteful. It included two side tables in the shape of a person with private parts. Very strange choice for a family rental. Lastly, I left an irreplaceable item. I called to retrieve it around 30 mins after we left. I couldn’t get an answer because they kept giving me the runaround. They said they had to “Ask their local team” and that the house code had changed. They told me that continuously for 3 days. Finally 3-4 days later someone told me I could come back, use the original code, and get it from the rental. I followed their directions and the item was nowhere to be found. It was in a private locked closet but nobody would come to the property to give it to me. Nobody would even ship it back as they offered. It was thrown away. I wasted a week trying to track it down and 1.5 hours of driving to retrieve it. The management is terrible!! It would be a decent rental with different management.
