Spacious house, good sized yard. Host was super responsive to anything we needed. I can see how quickly they make suggested changes based on other reviews and my stay. Loved having a washer/dryer and tissues in every room. Big kitchen and table to sit at. We enjoyed the fire pit out back and running around the yard. For moms: crib was nice and clean. I used the sheets provided even though I brought my own. The room the crib is in is bright for naps. During the winter, that room is chilly. We left the door open anytime baby wasn’t sleeping. The house is older so the stairs are very steep, just have to watch the little ones closely. No toys for the younger kids available so you’ll want to pack some. VRBO doesn’t do private feedback, so here are some improvements that could be considered: labels on the light switches; leave a light on for winter guests to make finding the house easier; lights along the basement stairs are at the perfect location for small hands and they get very hot (kid got a little burnt but he was fine, not a huge deal); new packaged sponge for washing dishes; better stock of kitchen pots, pans, and some cooking dishes, store lawn mowers not in kid playhouse Would we stay at this house/with this host again? Absolutely! Will be cool to see how their properties get better each time!
It was great combination was the best and the house is super fun and have everything you need.
There were 10 of us old Purdue Alumni getting together from all over and we wanted a place close to campus, quiet, and large enough so we didn’t feel cramped. The description online was spot on. The pictures are pretty accurate. The backyard was big with a fire pit that was awesome! We took full advantage of the fire pit!! The kitchen was large enough for 4 people to be preparing food all at once! Definitely a great place for our needs!
The home was warm and comfortable. Just right for bonding with friends or family
The property was a great location. Nearby the golf we played...lots of great dining choices nearby as well. Very quiet location and loved our time in the evening enjoying the screened in deck. The hostess was reposive when needed and very nice. Would definitely recommend.
Couldn't have asked for a better location...safety wise and proximity...for us! Thank you for making your home available via VRBO!
My family and I loved staying at this house. It had everything we needed and was close to Purdue, stores, and restaurants. The backyard was nice for my kids to play in.
Daughter was graduating from Purdue Aerospace and my husband is from Indiana. We had not seen his family since pre-pandemic. With Sharon's gracious hospitality we were able to combine the events into a fantastic weekend of celebrating her, her amazing friends and seeing dear family from around Indiana. Everyone loves the home. We relaxed in the back yard, kids played a bit of foozeball, took many photos, and hosted an easy, Costco -supplied party. Thanks to our fantastic hosts of this lovely VRBO, it was the perfect weekend.
We celebrated our eldest daughter's graduation from Purdue over the weekend with family and some friends. The location of this home is just off campus in a Neighborhood one block North of Ross-Ade. It's a long walk to Harry's but doable and Ubers are readily available. Everyone who stayed with us at the home and visited during the day commented on how nice the property was. The backyard, with a screened-in porch and nice deck, was a major plus since the weather was good. We will book again next year for yet another Purdue Grad in our family. Great place!!
Very simple and pleasurable experience
Wonderful home! Spacious, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the large well equipped kitchen and the lovely outdoor spaces. We look forward to staying here again! Thank you Sharon!
We really enjoyed that it was a peaceful area. Also everything was clean and that is huge. Only thing is the blinds are real old and a couple are not working well. Owner was told and is looking into new ones. Owner very receptive in helping while we were there, appreciate that as well.
House just as it looked on vrbo. Very comfortable
Our family enjoyed getting together at this West Lafayette home which is super close to Purdue campus and athletic events. The property was as advertised which easily accommodated our large family. Very nice kitchen, loved watching the birds from the window. Access to a gas grill on the covered deck along with a nice backyard for entertaining. Neighborhood is nice and quiet as well. We enjoyed our stay and will look for other opportunities to stay again in the future.
Loved the location and house but needs better mattresses and the house needs to be decorated better. Headboards, rugs, move bed away from walls, center couch and just more of an inviting decor. Bathroom upstairs and downstairs wasn’t as clean as we would like and no bathroom supplies. Need some travel size toiletries.
Great location, great neighborhood, quiet, close to everything you need.
This property exceeded our expectations and was extremely close to campus located right by the stadium. Our stay included three families for a total of six adults and two older children ages 16 and 18. There was plenty of room for everyone to hang out and sleep comfortably without issue. Sharon is truly a premier host and she was always available for any questions and responded in a timely fashion. We would definitely rent again! The kitchen was very modern and had everything we needed enabling us to use it and cook meals for our Purdue students!
We rented two houses for our company team attending the Purdue Industrial Roundtable recruiting event (there was not a single rental house that would accommodate all five of us such that we each had our own bedroom/bathroom). But the two house plan worked very well. The houses were in close proximity (walking distance) which simplified logistics. While I took care of renting the houses, two colleagues stayed in this house. Sharon is very easy to work with and prompt with answers to questions. Check-in and check-out procedures are simple. The house does have all the comforts of home. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked (granted, we did not cook during our stay, just quick breakfast foods, but I’d think you would have everything you need for making dinner here; the kitchen was large, well supplied, open, clean and looked newly renovated). Plus the entire house was spotless when we arrived. My two colleagues said that they enjoyed the house and had no problems there. This ended up being our evening gathering place to review the resumes that we had gathered during the career fair, since the outdoor space was a little larger than at the other house (the screened-in porch was ideal). I think there are so many advantages of a rental house over a hotel: lower cost, better value (you get a lot more with a house over a hotel), great outdoor space, quiet neighborhood. We were only a few minutes from campus, so it is very convenient for the career fair. Overall, this place is a winner and we will be using it again in the future for our visits to Purdue.
We loved this home away from home! It was beautiful and spacious and sat on a lovely, quiet tree-lined street. The property manager went above and beyond to answer all of our questions. We will definitely come back to this beautiful property! Highly recommend!!!
Great house! Excellent location! Amazing host! We will be back!
Great place to stay, loved hearing the birds in the tall trees and eating on the deck outside and relaxing in the wonderfully well-lit kitchen/dining area with all those amazing windows. Super-comfy beds and very clean, highly recommended!
