Wow! This home is beautifully designed, spacious enough to feel comfortable, but still very cozy. It had all the comforts of home, and is decorated beautifully. The property is lovely with tons of outdoor space for kids to explore and adults to relax. It is just a few miles from town, but a world away. We loved it!

Appledorn is a wonderful house, and the yard and grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The unique furnishings and decor give the house a warm and inviting feel. The house allowed for a quiet and peaceful respite for me and my parents. We will be back!

This property was amazing. The house is more beautiful in person than the pictures. It is also settled on the property where you cannot see another home. It feels like you are alone & is peaceful. Black Mountain is 2.8 miles away with lots of options to eat and shop. We will be back every year!

Perfect location close to Black Mountain, Asheville, hiking, breweries, but still rustic enough to enjoy the mountain valley. Well appointed, unique home.

Beautifully appointed! Cabins are not my jam. This is definitely non-cabiny! Tastefully decorated with a full kitchen, the real gem is the backyard terrace. We spotted a mama bear and 4 cubs almost daily, playing in the creek. Hummingbirds, butterflies, wild turkeys, fireflies at night. Property Manager Christy contacted us en route to ask if we could check in a little later than planned due to housekeeping issue. That was not a problem for us, and Christy was very easy to work with. This is a place to relax!

The property is lovely inside and out. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching all the butterflies and hummingbirds that were attracted to the plants surrounding the house. A stream runs through the backyard. It was so peaceful to relax and have a cup of coffee or glass of wine and read a book.

Apledoorn in a beautiful and peaceful property. My mother and I stayed for the day before heading to Tennessee and found that Apledoorn had all of the comforts of home. The property manager was able to accommodate an early check in since we arrived earlier than expected. We did have brief encounter with snake by the front door when we arrived for check in. It slithered away and we didn’t see it again but we completely understood it would be a chance we would see some wildlife during our stay. However, when we came back from lunch, several landscapers were working on the grounds and blocked the entrance to the driveway. They did move their truck so were able to access the driveway again but I wish we given notice that they would be there. Additionally, the owners of the house came by unannounced around 8:30pm as we were preparing for bed to replace slats for the master king bed. We were hesitant to let them in at first because I had not heard from the property manager but they said it would be a quick fix. They also switched out the paperwork in the home manual notebook with a new copy but they also took the check out process page as well. We didn’t notice until we starting to check out in the morning. I contacted the property manager through the app to find out what to do and explain what happened to the page. She also seem surprised about the owners coming by but she explained what we needed to do. Overall, Apledoorn was absolutely gorgeous but the unexpected guests did shock us since we were unaware anyone would be visiting the property while we were there. I would still recommend this property to others but I wish communication between the owners and the property manager would have been better.
