Charming village house

Nice welcome, fantastic house very well situated, in a quiet area in Marseille

Stunning, spacious property, it is better than the photos. It is a real family home, so it has everything you need. The hosts were very welcoming. The outdoor space and pool mean you are fully entertained at the property (we took some inflatables etc). There is beautiful outdoor lighting for the evenings. We used the boulangerie down the road and used public transport to travel into Marseille. We loved Cassis (use park & ride) and also enjoyed Waterworld at Gaudrade (1.5hours away). The beaches were popular so we tended to go early or later in the day. We had a fantastic holiday at this property.

We had a magical holiday in la Bastide. The house is surrounded by the most beautiful garden filled with flowers and old trees. The house is situated on top of a hill in the middle of Marseille.So you have an amazing sight on the city and still complete serenity and silence. Kitchen bathroom and livingspace are fully equipped and the whole house has a romantic feeling. Genevieve and Jean are the most lovely people. Would highly recommend ?❤️

We had a wonderful stay, the house is beautiful and very well equipped for our group. The pool is fabulous and we loved using the kitchen to cook. jean and genieve were the perfect hosts. even coming to check in on us and clean the pool half way through our stay. We’ll be back!

This home served as our home base for a few weeks. It is full of character and has all the comforts needed. Our stay was over a particularly hot summer, so the pool was a great bonus! The hosts are wonderful and communicate regularly. They when above and beyond to make sure our stay was excellent. I highly recommend this spot if you value great hosts and a comfortable stay that needs parking.

We had a fantastic weekend stay in this gorgeous house. The hosts (Genevieve and Jean-Luc) were efficient with their responses and very welcoming on arrival. The kitchen is fully stocked and the outdoor dining spaces were the perfect location for all our meals. We really enjoyed the pool and the spaces to sunbathe - a beautiful, relaxing location to enjoy with friends. We did not have a car, however the boulangerie and a butchers is easily in walking distance and we were able to use Bolt to travel to/from locations.

A truly lovley home and welcoming place to stay. Genevieve and Jean welcomed us and showed us around their beautiful home. It is really well equipped and has everyhting that you could need. It is slightly out of the main part of Marseille but has a lovely view of the hills and we found an excellent golf course just close by. Highly recommended

The property is classic and historic full of art tile mosaic floors a kitchen and outdoor cooking is set up to entertain or feed a large family. No shortage glasses plates cutlery etc. The pool is wonderful the house is on top of a hill with magnificent views. Only 15 minutes by Uber to downtown but not much near the house. If you have a family and want to shop you should rent a car. Delivery is available and we enjoyed a pizza night by the pool. We would repeat and come back.

The house is as good as we expected it based on the pictures and the description. We have been there with 4 parents and 6 children (7-14 years) for 10 days. There is by far enough space. The dining room has a big table for dinner and there is also a big living room with 3 couches to stay inside the cooled house. The kitchen has enough plates and other things like bowls, glasses, cutlery and so on, that we could prepare our breakfast lunch and dinner. Of course the garden with the wonderful pool and the several options to stay, is the highlight of this house. The children loved it to stay there and to jump into the pool. The hosts are very nice people who gave us recommendations for restaurants or other trips, and if any support was needed they were always available immediately. Thanks for 10 wonderful days in this charming house.

We stayed a week in this charming villa, and were welcomed by the owners. You have a lot of privacy, safe parking that easily fits 3 cars, a wonderful swimming pool, and a garden that suites both sun and shadow seekers. The house has plenty of space and is well equipped. You also have several tables outside with plenty of chairs. We had breakfast/dinner in front of the pool, and lunch at the side of the house (sun/wind conditions). The pool has a nice size, and very well maintained, you don't smell 'swimming pool' when you enjoyed the refreshing swim. Also worthwhile mentioning: you have plenty of silverware, plates,.... and a very effective airco in the entire house. A bakery is in walking distance, but you need a car for any trip (Marseille is big!) A drive to Cassis takes about 20-30 minutes. Wifi works well at the ground floor inside the house, but your smartphone will switch to 4G in the garden. Overall: great house, we would like to return!
