It is every bit as beautiful as the pictures would have you believe. We loved the textiles they provided around the house, you can tell that everything was well considered.

Absolutely lovely. We stayed here while I went to a class at the King Arthur Baking School. Such a serene, beautiful and quiet area. The gardens were such a pleasure, an obvious labor of love. The house itself is laid out perfectly with every comfort and convenience and all the amenities one could ask for. It is pristine clean and has tons of natural light. The area has tons of activities, eateries and exploration opportunities. I highly recommend.

We were very impressed with every detail of the property, the home is beautiful! Very clean and well maintained. The garden is absolutely wonderful and the area is very peaceful. If anyone is looking for a place to get away from the city noise, this is definitely it. We especially enjoyed sleeping with the windows open, allowing the fresh cool air into our bedroom without the noise. We’re definitely coming back in the future.

Beautiful, cozy & peaceful. The upstairs bedroom /loft and the backyard lounge chairs are both a perfect place to have coffee or meditate in the morning. The little luxurious touches, the soft towels and lovely soap & shampoos were a nice surprise.

We had a wonderful stay here! The house was spotless and very cozy. The water views were beautiful. The gardens were spectacular, so many different varieties of flowers. If you want peace and tranquility, this is the place for you. I enjoyed the farming community that you drive through after getting off I-5. We had fresh blueberries and blueberry ice cream that were delicious! I could sit on the back porch all day and be very content. We are now back in hot Oklahoma, boo.

Nancy and Clay’s home is full of beautiful artwork, unique books, and high-end furnishings. Things don’t feel cheap, because they are not cheap. Whoever remodeled and decorated this house did a fantastic job. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were flax/linen…so nice. Even the bath towels were a step above what you would normally find. My husband (who couldn’t care less about what he drys off with) even said to me “We should buy some of these towels for our house.” We used the kitchen each day and the gas range and Nespresso machine were nice upgrades. The setting is private, quiet, and there are beautiful flowers planted all around the yard. I would 100% recommend this place!

Beautiful home with lovely gardens, a great place to relax and recharge. Quiet and peaceful, exactly what we wanted! Bow was centrally located for our daily hikes in the surrounding areas. Nancy and Clay were very helpful and nearby if we needed anything.

My sisters and I treated our Mom to a long weekend together at The Garden House in June of 2025. I really can’t say enough good things about this rental. We considered meeting at Orcas or Cannon Beach, but I think Samish Island is a lesser known gem. The house was private with beautiful views of the surrounding gardens and the bay. We enjoyed walking in the quiet neighborhood everyday and the neighbors were friendly. Bow-Edison, LaConner, the Padilla Bay Interpretive Center, and Fairhaven were fun and accesible day trips. We cooked in the well-equipped kitchen and dined outdoors. The beautiful PNW weather was really on display during our stay! The house itself was so lovely and we felt spoiled by ultra-soft towels, comfy bedding, and wonderfully scented soaps. I definitely hope to return.

The garden house was the perfect getaway for our family - located in a peaceful park-like setting, it was clean, tastefully done, and stocked with everything you could need. Wifi worked great too. The hosts were welcoming and very responsive. Highly recommend for a relaxing escape from the city.
