Charming, oceanfront cottage with WiFi & easy beach access

I rated excellent as to location, is charming. Ocean view and beach access great. Fireplace a great amenity. Heat stopped working for 36 hours. Local management helpful. Brought firewood. Not able to remedy heat issue. Local hvac response unacceptable. Couldn’t get to it until the next eeek. I guess they don’t understand timely response when dealing with vacation rentals. Cottage could benefit with some maintenance. Some outlets need checking. One lamp had no on/off option. Concerned with wiring. Small bedroom bed inadequate against wall. No closet space. No can opener. Minor issue but inconvenient. Now, after this review we really enjoyed the property and would consider again bout for only 4 people.

Worst experience in my 60 years going to the coast, no internet no TV and the old house has settled so bad you got to checked your balance walking. We tried communicating with management and they would reply after 8-12 hours saying we are working on it. The management waved at us when we pulled in and he knew the network had issues. It needs a major update thru out the entire property. Oh and your cell service has one bar at most. We had to drive into town to send messages and call people. It was the worst communication I’ve ever experienced in my life.

The house has a fantastic location right off of Chapman Beach. My partner and I prefer quieter vacations (ie. less people) and knew Cannon Beach wouldn't be that, but we hoped the house would make for a quieter stay. It was indeed quiet and the beach is gorgeous -- some of the prettiest sunsets I've seen in a long time. Ecola State Park is right next door. The house itself leaves a lot wanting. The house is older and the owners do not appear to be doing regular upkeep (yard in disarray, cheap blinds, etc). Random, cheap looking tchotkes everywhere; old furniture including a pretty uncomfortable bed. Pots and pans were well used. The house was clean. One heads up if you are sensitive to cleaning agents -- at least during our stay, they used heavily fragranced laundry detergent. We ended up doing a bunch of linen laundry on arrival as the chemical smell/effect were unbearable for us. Lots of people don't seem to have a problem with this so perhaps this won't be an issue for you. All in all, I can't recommend this place. We booked at the last minute and were happy to be in a beautiful, quiet area, but it felt like glorified camping to us (especially at the price we payed with taxes, fees, etc).

While the property is dated, the location is fantastic. Ocean view, good proximity to shopping, restaurants and other attractions nearby I.e. Lewis and Clark history, Tillamook.We would stay again.

Nice location if you desire a natural wild beach away from lots of people. The unit is dated but very clean. Second bedroom is very small, no closet or dresser. Primary bedroom nice size but unable to hang any clothes due closet doors to stiff to slide.You must move car to get to town. Not walkable despite listing indicating otherwise. Quiet neighborhood and easy beach access. Would rent again

Really enjoyed our stay.Location is perfect.House was clean, and cozy.Communication was easy.

Host was responsive. The place was in an excellent location. The beds and couch were comfortable and the fireplace was very cozy. The decor is circa 1980s and very worn, but this didn't bother us.

Finally, a house with a location to the beach as promised! We loved just heading out the front door to the mostly private beach and then spending the meals in the back patio grilling.

Great location and perfect size for two.

First the good. Awesome location right across the street from a beautiful beach and some ocean view from the cottage. North of town but very close to everything.And not a newsflash as others have said the unit is a bit tired, things are worn or not working like blinds. Generally clean but lots of dust for example on blinds. Carpets had stains which is quite offputting. The TVsetup is ridiculous with a small TV 20' away from the couch. My sense is people deal with the issues in exchange for the location and price point. Oh and the front bedroom takes the brunt of noise from people coming and going at all hours including early a.m.So great location but tired and need of a deep clean. We wont stay again.

Excellent Cottage! It is literally right across the street from the beach access trail. it leads down a slightly steep hill to the private beach! Has all the amenities, just not Keurig. 5 min drive or 20 min walk to downtown. We had a great time!

Great location and nice cottage vibes. No complaints.

The place overall was great. Just perfect for the 6 of us. The back porch area was large and a nice big table and grill out side. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of blanket and towels and beach towels. The house itself was very neat and tidy. I enjoyed the fact that there was more than one bathroom. And that there was laundry pods left for us to do our laundry with.

This quaint cottage at Cannon Beach was perfect for our stay. We had 4 adults. The house is in a quiet neighborhood across the street from the beach. Surf views from the front porch. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was clean. A minor issue was taken care of quickly by the local team.

Cottage was wonderful! Location was perfect. Very quiet and so close to the beach. Will go back again for sure!!

You couldn’t ask for a better location being right across the street from the beach access. Small place and very outdated, but great location makes up for a lot

Nice, but kinda worn. The front door lock doesn’t work…very hard to unlock/lock from outside. The bed in the small bedroom is uncomfortable. The shower in small bedroom bathroom is corroded and hard to regulate. The sink in small bathroom leaks in back top. Latches on screen doors and back gate are rusty. Otherwise, fine.

The location was great for accessing the beach, but the house heating was insufficient. While it had a fireplace, we were not allowed to use it. The gas grill was rusted and would not light.In the end we left early since the home was disappointing

Honestly the best part of the experience was the booking staff finding us a better location when the first house had such horrible water damage. It's incredibly stressful to plan a vacation and have that happen, but it is incredible to know that this was the response. I will absolutely use this service in the future.
