Charming Oasis near Metro: Arcade, Coffee, Parks

I would like to be more positive but this has not been a good experience. I cannot recommend this home.1. The host neglected to send me home access info until I requested it, 4 hours prior to arrival.2. We stopped for groceries before we arrived, when I opened the refrigerator to put away our food, it looked clean but there was a terrible odor. One of the vegetable drawers had a lot of water that had collected. Once we emptied that it got better.3. The beds and bedrooms looked as the online presentation showed, but one towel and wash cloth per bed didn’t quite cover our group.4. Hall light was strobing, and several light bulbs were missing or not working.5. 1st night it became clear that the mattress on queen bed (master?) was a nightmare. My husband and I had to take turns sleeping. The mattress was completely broken down in the center with a serious slope. It needs replacing and was totally unacceptable. There was a pull out bed in the basement but we could not locate the sheets.6. Put all our dishes in the dishwasher, ran it on day 2. We were touring the city so not there to supervise that it was actually running. Returned to find it had run but the dishes were not even close to clean. I ran it again thinking something was stuck, when I pulled out the bottom rack it kept going onto the floor & broke a plate. No dish towels/rag/sponge7. I texted with the host, told him our concerns. He said he could not help mattress but sent towels/sheets/rags/

We enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean. We would stay again.

This was a comfortable b&b we stayed at with our kids and my brothers family. They had amenities for babies and kids we appreciated and was walking distance to a park, and driving distance to the DC activities. It is in a super cute and safe neighborhood. Would book again!

We loved the property and the location, 5 minutes away from Wegmans(!) and from the turnpike. Easy to get to and easy to get back on the road. Way better than a hotel for sure. Nice fenced in yard for a dog (watch out for the neighbors dog though, he's a sneaky one), which backs up to a public path which was perfect for a morning walk. If I find myself traveling through the DC area again, I'll be staying here if it's available..

Great house to stay with your family. We’re a family of 4 with guy/girl teens. The basement living area was perfect for our son. The neighborhood is quaint and the folks we saw out and about around there were super friendly! The Huntington Metro stop is a short ride from the airport. The walk to the house is about 10 mins, but if you have large luggage like we did, maybe a few mins more. Communicating with Kevin is very easy, and even an FYI while at the house I sent over was replied to within hours. We did a Walmart delivery order to the house for some food supplies while there since we did not utilize a car. I always bring laundry supplies when we travel, but if you do plan on doing any laundry while staying here, add that to your delivery order or bring your own. There is car parking if you bring one. Kreurig machine for coffee is there for use. It may seem far from all of the action in DC, but if you are a traveling family, it really is a great haven to rest. The Metro is a fun ride and you are in the middle of everything with a short ride on it.

This property was what we needed for our large family to trip to the DC area. Kevin was great at communicating just before and during our trip, and we enjoyed having a back deck. The basement, master bedroom, and eating area were all smaller than expected, but it was very nice to have enough spaces for sleeping our teens and to have two full bathrooms in this price range. We liked walking along the greenspace behind the condo just for exercise but also when we went to the Metro.

Not too fancy but served its purpose for our trip to D.C. Easy access to both Metro and highways.

met our needs for the trip. very clean inside. beds comfortable. Considered going on trail behind property but too many weeds to get to it. otherwise would stay again.

Was not what we were expecting but was still nice and clean. It is actually a duplex and space is much smaller than what you are lead to believe by pics.

Perfect property for our family getaway! The house is cozy, clean, and comfortable. It is well located, and we were glad to have parking. Quiet neighborhood, near metro and major interchange. Coffee and shopping just a short drive away. Fun to have a game room. Plenty of room to spread out too. Would definitely stay here again. (very picky suggestion - bedside lamps would be a nice addition to your great property)
