Stayed Oct 15, 2024Absolutely a gem. We were in Minneapolis for a family event, and we could not have loved this house more. Big comfortable living room for connecting with friends and family, sunroom office space, and sunny breakfast area. Blocks from Lake of the Isles. Short drive from Birchbark Books, Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, and more.

Stayed Oct 10, 2024Charming period house with plenty of space in a very walkable neighborhood. We enjoyed visiting the Lake of the Isles Pencil on our walk around the lake.

Stayed Jul 24, 2025This is a very charming and traditional home in a great neighborhood with beautiful surroundings and easy access to plenty of activities that Minneapolis has to offer. We had no problems with the check in and check out process. The kitchen dining nook was very nice and inviting with lots of sunlight and windows, which is where we spent most of our time when we were at home. The reason for the 3 stars is that we felt the other reviews going into this stay were misleading. First impression was that it didn’t seem professionally cleaned (the master nightstand with lots of dust, dirty sponge in the sink, leftover food in the fridge, and leftover half drank water bottles in another bedroom drawer). One bedroom had no outlets, some bedroom doors don’t stay open, some don’t stay shut. The closets are a mess with personal items just tossed randomly in there. There were quite a few personal items (which normally ok if put away) that made us feel that the owners were still living there. We were excited to use the back patio but the inner corners of some of the cushions were dirty/moldy. All in all the company we had made the trip but we would not stay there again.

Stayed Jul 17, 2025Location, location, location. So convenient. Friends from both coasts decided to meet centrally in the midwest for our yearly gathering. Minneapolis was gorgeous, we were a block away from the pencil house (Bobby McFerrin's former abode), tons of lakefront paths, killer ice cream at Sebastian Joes, cinnamon buns at Isle Bakery, epic acapella rap battle at the Phoenix and even a trek to Owamni. Property Owner was very responsive to questions.

Stayed Sep 12, 2024Fantastic location, just around the corner from Lake of the Isles, lots of coffee and dining in the area, walkable to the art museum, sculpture garden, and even downtown. The house is old with creaky floors, loud and sticky doors, etc. Thick and hard pillows were problematic for many of us and would be an easy upgrade. Fridge wouldn't get below 51 degrees, though the owner said there was one in the basement we could use instead.

Stayed Apr 9, 2024Wonderful home that was just as nice and comfortable as the pictures show. Traveled to the MSP area to attend the NCAA Frozen Four Hockey Tournament. Took us only about 15 minutes to get to the Xcel Center for the games. Home was a great location for getting to the games with plenty of local restaurants nearby to try out between the hockey action. There were four people in my group and we all had our own bedrooms to sleep in very comfortable beds. Would have been room for a few more hockey fans with the basement living area which was also very nice. Very accommodating host as well. Will definitely return the next time the Frozen Four is at the Xcel Center!

Stayed Oct 6, 2023Lots of from and 10 minute drive to downtown. It was clean and plenty of room. It would have been nice to have a TV in the main living room, but besides we would for sure stay there again.
