2) Please shower before using the spa to remove make-up, sun screen, insect repellent or any oil-based products.
3) Only clean swimwear may be worn in the spa as the chemicals in the water will remove the colored dyes found in ordinary clothing, causing them to leach into the water and turn it cloudy.

8) Do not use the spa if you are under the influence of alcohol.

The host was good about responding but the house was not good. Very run down and not very clean. Stained carpet, cracked linoleum, mold, kitchen cabinets disgusting (especially the lower ones, hair on bathtub. I have photos if you wish me to send them. In addition, the fireplace never worked properly. We had to keep the door closed to keep the smoke from filling the house but with the door closed, no warmth was felt. The thermostat was not working properly. We could never get it up to 70 degrees. It would get to about 65 and then go back to 55 degrees. When we could finally get the living room/TV area comfortable enough to be able to enjoy a movie the bedrooms became too hot to sleep in. We froze and all of us went home with a cold. Overall, a very disappointing experience. The house was very much overpriced.

The Doe Creek Cottage was the perfect house for our family getaway! It was in a great location, making all of the Big Bear activities easily accessible. The property owners were very responsive in all aspects of the stay, promptly responding to a couple of questions and even having batteries delivered so our kids could enjoy the Wii!

This review will be so easy because it will be so positive. First, if you are wondering if the photos are accurate - they are but they don't capture as much as the cabin has to offer. When we first walked in, my jaw dropped because it's so large. The layout of the cabin is perfect. The cabin was spotless. It is nestled on a large piece of property that has plenty of trees that provide shade all day. In fact, when we first arrived, I thought the place had AC because I was kind of cold but found out there is no AC but we never missed it because it's just super cool inside. Must be insulated very well plus the shade of the trees provides so much protection from sun. The living room has a very warm and inviting feel. I love that if you are in the kitchen, you can see what's going on in the living room and TV. The TV is awesome! We were very pleasantly surprised at how clean the jacuzzi was. There were windows everywhere and while I was very happy about that, I was more happy that the window cils were super clean. Each room is very comfortable, complete with places to sit in addition to sleeping. The master bathroom was incredible! The shower and bathtub - so beautiful - in fact, the entire cabin is furnished with the nicest appliances, and top notch decor. The only thing that I thought about while there were the lights used for the recessed lighting in the living room. They are super bright and the lighting kind of takes away from the overall homey cozy feel. I also wished that the bench on the front porch was a swing instead of a stationery bench. Our dogs loved the outdoor property. There's lots of room for them to run around and while I checked our dogs' paws daily for burrs they may have accumulated, there were none. The street is quiet. I saw a review where someone was talking about the close proximity to a school. First, the cabin is several blocks up from the school. Second, the only portion of the school that you can see from the front porch is a very nice outdoor track field. We were there during the week when school was in session and we never heard a thing. The only kids we saw were those that were on the track and field team and we saw a group run by the cabin in the afternoon - to us, it was entertaining and we clapped and cheered them on. I can’t wait to go back. Thanks to our hosts who were responsive and helpful. This will be our go-to Big Bear cabin for the foreseeable future.
