Loved being on the lake, and we enjoyed local hiking, fine dining at Blu, adventuring in Glen Arbor, and a bonfire/moonrise over Glen Lake. The home was clean. Loved the rolled-up towels presented on each of the beds.
The location, and property were great, but the outrageous fees are enough to never use VRBO, or Vacasa again.
We loved the town of Glen Arbor, the shops and restaurants were great. Sleeping Bear Dunes and the beach in Empire were beautiful. The house was clean, but for an Air B’B it was lacking many essential things. There was no dishwasher soap, no foil, Saran Wrap, baggies or basics in the fridge.when you travel far away from home you expect those things to be there! The bath towels fit the body of a toddler not a large adult!
I love the house and property. The setting is perfect- right on the lake with a sandy beach and right by the heritage bike trail. Also close to the dune climb and Glen arbor.
We enjoyed our time here but there were some downfalls, especially for the price we paid. The outside of the house is outdated and needs some work. We liked the inside but it had no style and was just very basic. We love Glen Lake and the location was perfect. But the back yard had old chairs and table and zero firewood. The grill was also pretty dirty. I was bummed that this house doesn't allow late check-out and you have to pay for early check-in. They also do 4pm check-in and 10am check out..that one hour makes a difference. These big rental companies need to step it up if they don't want to loose out to hotels in the future.
We spent a couple of days here and had a very relaxing time at the Bywater. Little Glen Lake was perfect fun for our two year old and we all had a blast.
Perfect location, beautiful lake views. The house is cosy and comfortable with plenty of room. We were there in October and would love to go back during summer.
A beautiful location. Close to the dunes and great views of little Glen lake
Our family loved this vacation getaway! The home was really nice inside and very clean. The beach was beautiful! The lake was crystal clear with a sandy bottom. We loved using the kayaks! We couldn't have had a better time! Thank you so so much for giving our family this much needed experience.
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this property. The location is great-right across from the dune climb. Short drive to town and national park. Our favorite part was being right on the water. We loved kayaking. The water is relative shallow until a certain point. Our girls lived going out themselves. We enjoyed sitting outside in the morning with coffee. It was so quiet and peaceful. In the evenings we enjoyed sitting by the fire. The house was immaculate. You can tell they really take their time cleaning and making this house presentable. I usually spend the first part of arrival sanitizing. I didn’t have that urge. This is the perfect little house to getaway. You wouldn’t need to leave the house it has everything you need. Downtown Glen Arbor was such a quick drive away anything you need you could get there. We enjoyed pizza from Bearpaw and lunch at Arts. We stopped at Anderson’s for a couple things. If you are on the fence just book this house! We cannot wait to go back. We’re already planning our next trip.
