Stayed Jul 17, 2024Perfect location, just two minutes walking from the beatiful and bustling centre of Honfleur. The site is suprisingly quiet with a really nice and spacious garden. Don't expect to park your car in front of the door. Instead, there's free parking at around 10 minutes walking.

Stayed Jul 30, 2022The property is central and convenient for bus station, food shops and historic centre /tourist shopping and restaurants. It is small, one bathroom, two bedrooms, one general living eating and cooking room. Two options for outdoor dining and a sunbathing area in large garden (no lawns) there is outside toilet which is clean but no wash basin. Steep narrow staircase and low ceilings will not suit anyone with mobility difficulties. Steps to access garden and property. There is no allocated parking at property. It is on street parking ( narrow roads barely wide enough for two cars and usually already full. ) free parking about 10 minutes walk away also usually minimal spaces, also used by overnight camper vans. In short nice property , good location but access difficult at all levels unless you are backpacking and travelling by bus.

Stayed May 15, 2022We enjoyed our stay very much in this comfortable property . The garden was a lovely place to be on sunny afternoons and for breakfast, and we loved to hear the angelus bell from next door St Leonard’s church in the evening. The house is brilliantly situated, a five minute walk to the Vieux Bassin and restaurants and shops in town. Madam Peju was a charming hostess and made us very welcome . Her English was a lot better than our French!

Stayed Apr 30, 2022We paid more than normal for this property as the facilities included parking. This is not the case and we feel we were mislead by both the property owner and Vrbo. On arrival we had to drive round twice and eventually found somewhere to park to off load our luggage. The owner directed us to a free parking area some 7 minutes walk away. She implied there was ample parking, this was not the case and we had to wait almost an hour for a space to become available. I would not like to try and find parking in high season! On street parking and public parking cost €15 for 12 hours and €30 for 25 hours. Regarding the property, we were a little concerned that the electric cooker was held together with tape and the washing machine was small and rusty in an out building. We decided not to use either appliance. We were concerned about the bedroom floor and it was very uneven, bouncy and sloped causing the bed to feel head down. However, all this taken into consideration the property was clean, warm and very convenient with a great garden. On the whole we had a great holiday.

Stayed Aug 1, 2020This was a perfect place to be for our week in Normandy. Honfleur is one of the most attractive towns in northern France and although very popular the house is very quiet and private as it is set well back from the street and has its own lovely garden. We didn’t find any difficulty parking to drop off luggage as the owner had kept a space and we mostly found free spaces in the streets nearby for the rest of the week. The owner is friendly and quick to respond to any questions. The only inconvenience for British visitors is having to provide a deposit in Euros cash and if you like more than one pillow on the bed you may want to bring your own. Would happily stay again.

Stayed Sep 4, 2019This property is hidden behind many other small houses and shops opposite the wonderful St. Leonards church in Honfleur. The cottage is beautifully situated and has everything you would need for a stay from a few days to many weeks! The beds are comfortable, the dining table (both inside and out) is ready for you and the garden is welcoming. Unfortunately the weather during our stay didn't allow us to use the garden to its full extent! :) Just one warning ... mind your head in the bathroom and bedroom!! :)

Stayed Jun 14, 2019The Location and apartment was perfect and exactly what we wanted the only downside and it was a big one for us is we booked this property as it clearly said it had parking. It did NOT have parking, the parking we were directed to was about a kilometre away.

Stayed Jun 19, 2019We stayed 5 nights in this lovely little flat in the heart of Honfleur. It was very well appointed for our family of 4 (2 adults + 2 kids) and is short walk to many restaurants, shops, and the Honfleur harbor. It was extremely clean and had a huge outdoor garden with both lounge chairs and table/chairs for eating. The apartment was very quiet and private. If you have a car, you will need to park it in a free lot, which is about a 10 minute walk, though you can usually double park to unload luggage, etc. There is a washing machine and a large drying rack if you need to do laundry, which we did since we travel light with carry on luggage only. The kitchen was well stocked and there was a cupboard with some oil, vinegar, spices, coffee filters, etc. The property manager also gave us her recommendations for the best restaurants which was helpful because there are a lot to choose from. Be aware that if you want towels, those are an extra charge that you pay cash for when you arrive (let them know in advance how many sets you will need). It's in the rental agreement, so just be sure to read the fine print. I was happy though as they provided both a large bath towel and a washcloth, which you almost never find in Europe. I had a bit of a miscommunication about signing the rental contract (my fault for not reading my email closely enough), as well as the security deposit which was initially asked for in cash but eventually we paid via credit card on the VRBO platform. Other than that, we had no issues at all.

Stayed Apr 30, 2019What a lovely place, located in the middle of touristic hotspot, but due to the immense private garden very peace-full.
