The Chuckanut Garden Oasis
Our Chuckanut home is a charming 1940s home with a large quiet and peaceful garden space. We furnish our home to create a vacation space for families and friends who are traveling through the Willamette Valley, visiting students at the University of Oregon and or having a reunion.
It is located off Crescent Avenue in North Eugene, in a safe and quiet residential neighborhood.

Stayed Feb 15, 2025Heat didn’t work on arrival. Owner was good about getting help from hvac repairman, but we had 8 hours without heat in cold February. He also offered another house but we were already moved in.

Stayed May 16, 2025Came in on a Friday evening for a Saturday morning competition for the kids. We had 7 people, with one group leaving early in the morning and one group leaving closer to 10 am. Wanted to get a place where people could have separate sleeping areas and not disturb each other coming and going. The place was perfect for what we needed.It is exactly as advertised on the VRBO listing. Clean, nice place, super responsive host, easy check-in & check-out. Nice private backyard & fast wifi. Will 100% stay here again if we're back in Eugene for a competition or event. Great place.

Stayed Feb 1, 2025The property manager was great and very professional. However the photos give the impression the house is roomier than it is. And the condition of the furniture was pretty bad. The couches really need to be replaced, wooden furniture is old and dented. The floors seem worn. The place had no personality. The towels were old. Sorry to be negative, but for the money I really expected better. I’ve had amazing properties in the past using VRBO.

Stayed Jan 17, 2025We had a wonderful stay in Eugene. The house was exactly as advertised. We had 3 adults and a small dog and had way more space than we needed. But the location was fabulous, the house was clean, the water pressure was great, and the communication with the host was fast and responsive. Would stay here again.

Stayed Mar 1, 2024Stayed for almost a week and had no issues. Well we had a small issue with WIFI but was cleared up almost immediately. Owner was very responsive. Everyone said the beds were comfortable and the kitchen is nice sized to cook a reasonably large meal. Overall I’m satisfied.

Stayed Dec 27, 2023We gathered with our whole family to visit our son’s family just a block away. This location is close to everything you might need. The house is laid out in sections which was really convenient for our dogs to keep them confined to only part of the house. The kitchen had everything we needed. The yard is like a private oasis so you don’t feel like you’re in a goldfish bowl. Everything was tidy and the Christmas decorations and lit tree was a nice touch! Thank you!
