My family and I traveled here to return my husband's ashes to Maine, where he was born and raised. I cannot thank our host Reilly and her family for the kindness and compassion shown to us during our stay. The lenghts that they went to in order to assist us with arrangements that had nothing to do with the actual house rental was astounding and we will always remember them for it.I've included a photo of the harbor taken from the bedroom window of the largest bedroom. I could sit in a chair reading a book and glance out that window all day. Of course, that is if I could ever get myself out of that massive bed with the most sublime mattress lol. It was unbelievably comfortable. While that bedroom appears to have been renovated wtih lovely wide plank hardwood floors, some details like the crazy high baseboard molding still remain. The downstairs bathroom has been fully renovated with a swanky shower and large vanity area. The upstairs bathroom has a claw foot tub which I hope is never removed from that house.A wrap around porch in front and a brick patio area in back gave us plenty of room to reminisce about our fondest memories of my husband. The cell phone signal in the harbor area is not the strongest but quaint fishing harbor and gigantic cell phone towers just don't go hand in hand. The host has wifi though and we were able to stream movies. Even though it's a very large house, it still felt cozy. My only suggestion is to put a chair in front of that window!

The house is beautiful and in a great location. Walking distance to town and local restaurants. The owner is wonderful and a great communicator. However, the house is not exactly as advertised. There is one brand new full bath. Very nicely done. The other bathroom only has a tub and no shower. We had 5 people and sharing a shower bathroom with that many adults is hard. Also the kitchen needs work. The counter tops are held together by tape. bathis not really a full

My daughter, her husband and two young children joined my husband and I for a week ‘s stay at this quaint comfortable farmhouse. We enjoyed watching life pass by from the shaded front porch. The location couldn’t be better- near Pemaquid Beach and Pemaquid Point as well as a handy little grocery store and ice cream shop. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped to meet our needs. Beautiful downstairs bathroom with shower and a spacious second floor master bedroom. It was hot during our stay but the evenings brought cool refreshing breezes from the harbor. The neighbors were pleasant and quiet. This is a little piece of Maine history that we were honored to experience.

We enjoyed our stay in this historic house. It was in a beautiful neighborhood, perfect for walking down to the water or to the ice cream shop. Close to Pemaquid Point and nearby towns, and to Maine Coast Craft School (where my husband was taking a class).

We loved the house. It was extremely beautiful and reminded us of summer camps in Maine. We will definitely be booking it again for next summer.

We did enjoy our vacation. The house was clean and easy to use. You could kind of see the harbor..this is not an ocean view. The house is quite old and needs attention..though the new shower is a lovely addition.

We enjoyed our stay at Reillys house. The house has a lot of character - like my friend said - this is so Americana! If you are looking for a sleek house, this won't be the place for you, as it is rather rustic, but charming and clean. The new bathroom is great and modern, the rest of the house a mixture of antiques and shabby chic furniture. New Harbor does not have super many amenities, but it was great for our stay. Communication with Reilly was usually short and sweet.

My husband, two adult sons, and I stayed in this three bedroom, two bath, farmhouse for a week in September. This was our second stay, and we look forward to staying here in the future. We loved the home, which is spacious, clean, comfortable, and has the character of a historic farmhouse. We often ate out on the porch, which was a wonderful spot to enjoy the cool breezes, view the harbor, or gaze at the Milky Way at night. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood with easy walk (hill involved) to Reiley's grocery store, picturesque back cove, Harbor Ice Cream, and Pemaquid Craft Co-op. There are many activities within a short drive such as Hardy Boat Cruises, Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, numerous restaurants, local beach, and hiking at La Verna Preserve. We enjoyed short road trips to Camden, Rockland, Owls Head, and Port Clyde to view some of the many Maine lighthouses. I highly recommend staying in this comfortable home in one of the most beautiful and peaceful locations on the Maine Coast.
