After visiting the Lighthouse for decades we were lucky enough to lock in a week at the apartment-someone must have cancelled! To be able to expierence the Lighthouse and coastline up close and personal was special indeed. To hear the sounds of the surf, the seagulls and see the lighthouse at night was a treat. The apartment is a nice size, steep steps getting in and out and unfortunately not having a door between the kitchen and bedroom was a challange for a couple with an early riser and one not. But, we made it work.

This is the perfect location for a relaxing getaway. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Sheila was a great host and was very responsive. We are already thinking of planning another trip to this beautiful location.

Last summer we had the good fortune of securing a week's stay at the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Keeper's Apartment. Our stay was simply enchanting. The apartment was the perfect size for a couple, the furnishings were comfy, the views were exquisite and the sound of the ocean right outside our windows was relaxing. The internal staircase was a little problematic for two people with mobility issues. But it was a challenge by choice that we accepted in exchange for a delightful vacation spot. The Seagull restaurant across from the Lighthouse provided us with many a delicious meal. The staff on the grounds of the Lighthouse were always helpful and the volunteers who run the museum beneath the apartment provided us with a wellspring of information about the site and the area in general. The art gallery across from the Lighthouse is a true gem and not to be missed. We cannot recommend the Lighthouse Keeper's apartment at Pemaquid Point highly enough!

Oh my, this was a beautiful location, beautiful weather and the best vacation and much needed. Make sure you check out the blueberry pancakes over at the Seagull. Staff of the park were absolutely the very best.

Probably my favorite rental of all times!! The sound of the waves crashing on the rocks, the breeze coming off the ocean, the stars at night, and the morning sunrise- life doesn’t get better than this!!! The apartment was clean and had all the necessities. Enjoyed the people we met and even Dexter the dog!!!

Cute little apartment. Beautiful setting. Well stocked kitchen including crock pot. Only thing I was looking for that I couldn’t find was a can opener. Such a delight to be able to walk out the door and be on the Pemaquid rocks!

Breathtaking views from the cottage and grounds, gentle roar of crashing waves, and night skies as I have never seen them. What a beautiful, beautiful place. My husband and I spent 7 nights at the cottage- and we did not want to leave. We spent our time hiking the nearby Laverne nature preserve, walking Pemaquid Loop, a nearby street with amazing ocean views, and relaxing on the rocks at Pemaquid Point. What you should know: Sheila is wonderful. She answered all our questions, sent detailed information, and check in and out was a breeze. The pictures on VRBO are a bit misleading. Everything is better than it looks pictured. The views from cottage windows are spectacular. The living room area is quite large and comfortable with a couch and lamps for reading, and a coffee table that fits a puzzle :) The bedroom has a Queen (not full as listed) bed that is quite comfortable. Bathroom is adequate with plenty of hot water. You must supply your own bed linens and bath linens. I would highly recommend also bringing your own blankets- as the instructions are to replace the bedspread on the bed before you leave for the next person to use. There are 4 pillows. The kitchen is very functional and stocked with foil, plastic wrap, dishes, salt, pepper, baggies, dish soap, sponge, and dish towels. There are camp chairs in the living room closet, and bug spray in the kitchen pantry- for outdoor time. There are also two Adirondack chairs in the porch that are designated for “renters only.” The place was not very clean- I would recommend bringing a container of Lysol wipes and wiping everything down (especially toilet and bathroom floor). We spent half a day touring the lighthouse and fisherman’s museum in the ground floor- loved it! The volunteers are delightful and greeted us warmly each day as we came a went from our cottage entrance- which is a door in between two museum entrances. You should know that you will be sharing your paradise with a lot of friends- day and night. While the museum is open 9-5, the grounds are open 24/7. Every morning when we stepped out the cabin’s upstairs door to view the sunrise, no less than 6 tripod cameras wet aimed in our direction. Cars will enter and leave the parking lot at all hours, though it was consistently quiet from 11-5. While there are many visitors, they were all very respectful of one another and of us. A lovely, lovely place. Just understand it is a city park :)

Easy to get to and hard to leave. The views were great and the grounds were well maintained by the town Bristol. The apartment was comfortable and welled equipped with all the things we needed for a wonderful stay.

The apartment was bigger than it looked in the pictures. A queen bed not a double. Windows for views in every direction. And wave noise and people noise wasn't a factor when the windows were shut because they were newer. The cross breezes were great especially on a couple warm days.
