Camden, Maine
A lovely home with a very short drive to the heart of downtown Camden, where you will enjoy fabulous restaurants, shops, and our picturesque waterfront. Just minutes to Megunitcook Lake where you can enjoy some nice swimming and directly across the street from Mt. Battie Carriage Road. Here you can experience a 2.4-mile out-and-back trail that is generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 hour 17 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking and running.
All of this gives the home a perfect mix of privacy and convenience.
When you first step into this home you’ll notice the open floor plan. The first floor offers a lovely kitchen, a high-top table with seating for 4 and a comfy living room where you can sit and talk about your day. The main bedroom is down the hall with a queen size bed and a full bathroom is off the hall. Off the living area you step down into a tv room which opens to a private deck. Here you can enjoy the fresh air and the starry nighttime sky while sipping cocktails and chatting with friends and family. You also have the option to enjoy the nice big firepit out back off the deck.
Upstairs you’ll find a loft with a small desk to work while you’re away. A bedroom with two twin beds allows for extra guests a place to sleep after a fun day of exploring.
There is off-street parking for up to 4 cars, and there is Wi-Fi throughout the house, in addition to a television with Roku so you can access your Netflix, Hulu, and other accounts. A washer and dryer is also available for your use.
MidCoast Maine has so much to offer. You can take a schooner ride and see the seals sunning themselves on the rocks, kayak on Penobscot Bay, do a driving tour of our many lighthouses, or even take the ferry to Monhegan Island to explore the art galleries and beautiful natural walking trails. This lovely home is the perfect base for exploring the area and beginning an annual tradition of visiting MidCoast Maine.
The cottage is in excellent condition, exactly as described. There is masses of living space and could suit up to 4 people. The cool weather didn’t entice me to use the outside space, but the balcony was huge. While quiet and private, it’s less than 5 minutes by car to Camden, a lovely town with some very good restaurants. I’d happily stay here again.
We so such enjoyed our stay at the cabin !!!! So perfect with all the fine touches as advertised. Our first day was rainy; and we enjoyed a relaxing day with the wood burning stove and listening to the fine vinyl collection in the cabin. In a nice isolated location with woods, and minutes to downtown Camden. Perfect… we look fed to staying there again soon!
This cabin was as other reviews described - well equipped and very homey with most everything you need while away from home. Loved the timber frame structure with the floors and beams and the beautiful German wood stove. Was not cold enough for stove use and no directions but I bet it is cozy in winter. The furniture was very comfortable too. Would make a couple suggestions - the microwave was hard to use and see on top of the refrigerator for us - not a safe place to take hot food in and out of above my head. The listing I saw showed a gas grill and when walking on deck did not see one so assumed it was removed and a couple days later walked down the road and back and saw a Weber by back basement door under the deck and was surprised so maybe update that information as we did shop to cook but did not realize their was a grill and there was an option to grill out as we would have. Not a big deal. Also directions say to load the dishwasher and wash dishes before leaving. Could not find the dishwasher there!
Perfect place to stay. Relaxing, close to everything. The house was great, everything we needed was there.
Great location to town and a very comfortable cozy stay.
We love spending time in Maine and this was our 5th return trip. The property was Perfect and we enjoy Camden and being able to easily move from one great town to another! Looking forward to next year already.
Great place! On a private road. Close to town. Well stocked kitchen. Cute tv room with sliding doors opening on to the porch. Would definitely stay there again.
Quick little get away toward the end of summer. Place was perfect! Location could not have been any more convenient to downtown Camden. 1.5 miles. Golf 6 miles. House was clean, comfortable, and the bed was awesome. Highly recommend!
Great location that is only minutes away from downtown Camden. Tons of hiking trails only a few minutes drive and also an hour to an hour and a half from Augusta, Acadia and Boothbay Harbor to name a few common destinations.
Perfectly situated between Camden and Megunticot Lake.
We could not have asked for a better stay during our week in Maine. The cabin was the perfect home base for our vacation and provided easy access to hiking, kayaking, local markets and attractions. Jennifer was super responsive when we had questions. I would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a nice getaway.
We enjoyed our stay in Camden at this home. It is so close to town, but in the middle of nature. There is trail access very near the house. The house is well-equipped and charming.
House was just lovely, with everything one could possibly need for a comfortable stay.
It was VERY hot when we arrived and Jennifer worked with us to solve the problem. After that, we had a wonderful stay. The house is lovely and the area is quiet.
Clean, kitchen well stocked, nice bath towels.
We found the cottage to be exactly what we needed for our recent fishing trip with Ten Mile Guide Service in Camden. We had easy access to both Camden and Lake Megunticook and found the house to be extremely well equipped and comfortable. The property manager, Jennifer, responded quickly when we had any questions. We highly recommend this location and look forward to staying again in the future.
This place is the best. Amazing for an ideal family Thanksgiving. Open, airy, cozy, comfortable, bright, homey.
This is a cute place for a couple to stay convenient to most things in the Camden area (town, hiking, etc.) The property is clean and comfortable. We'd be happy to visit again.
This house was a absolutely perfect for the 2 of us. Comfortable house. Easy location. Quiet. Clean. Well stocked kitchen. We loved it.
Perfect location for shopping, restaurants, waterfront, and nearby towns. Comfortable living area and bedroom, lots of extra towels and closet space. Would definitely return.
Jennifer’s house is lovely and comfortable. The location is great for getting into Camden or exploring locally. We had rainy weather, so enjoyed wood stove in living room. Bed was comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. Deck area was great for relaxing or having a meal.
