Charming Historic Capitol Hill Row Home w/ parking - perfect location

Beautiful house was incredibly located to everything we were doing. We walked all over from here.Great space and was well equipped for us.Parking was convenient in secured back yard.Check in and out was easy. I would recommend this home.

This home was absolutely perfect for our stay in DC! Beautiful, comfortable, and plenty of room for everyone. The location couldn’t have been better, and the garage parking in the back was a huge plus. Thank you to our hosts, Barry and Catherine, for being so friendly and communicative. Perfect home to enjoy with a family in the DV area! Kitchen was great for cooking and dining. Great areas for relaxing with the family. Very ideally located and especially close to the metro and bus lines to get into the city!

The location is outstanding, loved the walkable area, and surrounding areas reachable by a quick uber. The home is as advertised would stay here again.

The rental was nice and communication with owner Barry was excellent. Location was great. The leather couch in the living room is definitely worn. The kitchen lacked basics such as olive oil, Tupperware, plastic wrap and aluminum foil. We appreciated the age and history of the rental but the doorknob on the main floor bathroom kept falling off. The beds were all very comfortable . Overall we had a great stay.

House is in central location and close to DC landmarks. The house is beautiful with plenty of space for my family of five. The host was very responsive to my questions. Highly recommend.

We had major issues with this property due to the lack of hot water for almost two days. When we arrived, we were told the water heater had previously failed but was “good to go.” However, on Day 2, we had no hot water after 10 AM, and on Day 3, we had no water at all for most of the day. We were unable to shower, wash dishes, or take care of basic needs until late that evening. We even had to go to a hotel just to shower, which should never be necessary during a vacation rental stay.These issues forced us to come up with a Plan B for Christmas, going out to dinner instead of being able to host our family, including our daughter who was supposed to stay with us. The disruption also caused unexpected extra expenses, including Uber charges, meals out, and other costs directly related to the lack of water and the interruption to our plans.While the host eventually acknowledged the problem, he was unwilling to offer more than a one-night refund, which does not fairly reflect the level of inconvenience we experienced. This was a significant interruption to our trip, and unfortunately the compensation offered did not match the situation.The property itself may be fine under normal circumstances, but based on how this issue was handled, I would not stay here again.

This was the perfect place for our family of 6 adults. Everything was just as described in the listing. Great location and gave us walking access to most of the places that were on our agenda.Barry was a great host and was quick with answers when we had questions. If you plan on visiting DC, stay here. You won’t be sorry!

We had 4 adults and 4 children and this house met our needs! Great Kitchen; we prepared a family meal and watched a movie. Also, appreciated the instructions and tips the homeowners gave us. We were able to hang out and tour D.C. Thank you and we will stay here again!Best,Kim and Scott

It was comfy, cozy, and kept us safe. It was near to the Eastern Market metro station and bus stop and that opened the entire city to our family instead of having to walk everywhere or attempt to drive and find parking. Speaking of the Eastern Market, what a great outdoor market to enjoy on the weekend. The house was near great places to eat, places to stop and shop, and Lincoln Park to enjoy the outdoors. On our feet though the house is a great place to be, it is near the mall, museums, monuments, the Capital Building and Library of Congress - 1mi to the Capital and 3.6mi to The Lincoln Memorial. The kitchen was was well stocked. The porch was comfortable. The garage was great to keep off the street. The beds are comfortable.To top it all off, Barry was easy to work with, and to be able to communicate with. Overall it was a delightful trip to our Nation's Capital and we would return if we are back in town.

My friends and I had a fabulous time staying here. Location was very accessible to everything in the city, very quiet neighborhood, and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend staying here anytime.

Our party was diverse so having a bathroom in every room was a huge benefit! The back patio was large but the weather prevented us from using it. Check-in was seamless, check out was easier. Owner only reached out when needed. If we wanted to be extra picky, the television situation was strange and difficult to navigate. However, we weren't in the house long enough for it to matter. We would 100% stay here again.

Property is gorgeous! Great shape, clean and incredibly well decorated. Well equipped for an effortless stay. Perfect location to walk to museums restaurants. Top shelf hosts as well.

We had a wonderful stay. The bedrooms are located on the first and second floors, but there is no disability access from the entrance of the property. If you have difficulty climbing stairs, staying here may be challenging. That said, the beds are absolutely heavenly!

The girls and I had an amazing time, we absolutely loved the spot and how it was close to all we wanted to see in DC! Thank you again Barry for having us!

Great location in Capitol Hill. Check-in flawless and the home was clean and well equipped. Huge smart tv in family room. The kitchen had everything we needed. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms worked out great for us. Private parking was a plus and you can fit a mid size SUV easy maybe even a full size. We felt safe and never had any issues. We were travelling with senior parents with mobility limitations and they were able to make it upstairs to bed and bath. Overall great stay and would return and recommend.

Our family really enjoyed our stay between Christmas and New Years is this fantastic restored row home. The location was perfect and located within walking distance of shops, restaurants, Eastern Market, Trader Joe’s…also walkable to the National Mall and White House area if you are up for a 2 to 3 mile walk. Secluded parking for one car behind the house was a great benefit - street parking is also available for additional vehicles with a permit. Three bedrooms each with their own bathroom is a plus. The owner, Barry, was very responsive and helpful with restaurant recommendations, etc. The kitchen is fully stocked and had everything we needed. Beds are super comfortable - which is sometimes rare in a rental property. Would definitely stay here again during a future trip!

Our stay was lovely! Great house, pretty well stocked kitchen and all the amenities! Huge tv in living space! We enjoyed playing games, and having great conversations. Location was perfect, not far from good restaurants, and site seeing. The hosts were chill and very helpful! We highly recommend this property!

This property was in a great location and seemingly safe neighborhood. Check in was easy and communication with the host was efficient and very responsive. The house needs some attention, cleaning up the outside, lots of cobwebs and debris around doors. The house is nice inside , beautiful bedding.

We enjoyed the property very much. Well appointed and the bathroom attached to each bedroom seemed to give an added degree of privacy. Nice residential neighborhood.

This is aptly named a charming row house on Capitol Hill. My co-workers/friends needed to arrive in DC a day early to the CBC due to the addition of a White House visit at the last minute. We tried book other hotels but of course the cost of one night for all three of us at would have been four times as much for individual hotel rooms. Here, we each had our ownrooms with on suites and a half bath. We also enjoyed a full equipped kitchen and family room to celebrate a birthday. The only minor drawback was the TV access. In the time of streaming with limited cable, I would say bring your own Fire Stick so you can watch your familiar shows and movies. There no simple turn on the TV to a channel. Besides the minor inconvenience, a highly recommended stay!

Very happy we chose this property. Barry was very responsive and replied to questions immediately. The location is fairly close to Capital Hill if you are ok with a walk there. There are lime scooters and bikes all over to grab as well. The parking spot is great out back but tight if you have a large vehicle. We did tuck a full size pick up in there though.

We loved this property! It’s in a great location, quiet neighborhood. With much to go see close by, and lots of options for food. And you have everything away from home.
