Beautiful older home that is cozy on the water. It was perfect to meet our coupled friends for a Packer game.
Nice location. Parking for 3 vehicles in the drive and room for 3 on the street. Really quiet area. Beds varied in firmness. Coffee pot could be updated by was functional.
Well to start, the pictures of the house on your website were much better than in person. Needs curtains in the master bathroom and the television didn’t work in the bedroom. We liked that it was close to eating places,
We stayed at the Baehr house for a long weekend. There were 7 of us total and the house had plenty of room for all of us with room to spare! The house was comfortable and well stocked with all necessities, even coffee grounds and filters! The mattresses upstairs were memory foam like home. The only tiny issue we had was the upstairs bedrooms were a little chilly the first night and we couldn’t find additional blankets. I reached out to the owner and we were shocked and pleasantly surprised to find a delivery of brand new blankets on the front steps when we returned that evening! Would definitely stay again. Thanks!
Classic old school home with upgrades and all the space you need. Cool vibe.
Towels we found in the dryer. No kitchen towels. Poor recycling container...actually no recycling containers. Minimal parking Loved the campfire near the river. Beautiful sky line and moon Friday evening. Little road noise.
Convient location near quaint downtown located on the river great view from backyard
Bad experience, left early. Never got an apology from owner. Still had to pay for 1 nite & clean fee. Refund only for the nite we didn't stay. Upon arrival, house had a sewer smell & temp 55 degrees; took 2 hrs to reach 65. Hot & cold air coming out of vents. Furnace was making loud noise at 11pm so couldn't use the basement (had a queen bed and TV entertainment room). 2 of us had to share a bed. Left us w/ 1 king bed, 1 queen and 2 twin. The top sheet of 2nd bed (in trundle) was dirty so didn't use those 2 twin beds. I called property mgr in am; a maintenance person arrived right away. Furnace needed part and had to be turned off. We were told we should be fine because main floor had heat from fake wood in fireplace (wasn't much), space heater in basement and a working furnace upstairs. We asked for another space heater & they wouldn't provide. Temp was going to be in 30's that nite. Sewer smell was so strong on 2nd floor (woke up 2 people) & in basement near furnace (worried could be a gas leak). Not clean: had to rewash the plates, windows dirty, visible cobwebs, furnace filters were caked with dirt, beer bottles around fire pit, big gulp cup sitting on grill, I told property mgr during visit..no apology; said to take pics, that she needs to know if cleaner is doing their job. I said have only 4 coffee cups (was in a prior review) & said I can use other cups or buy my own. No canoe & all bedrooms are on 2nd floor, not main level. Elderly parents had to use stairs.
Enjoyed the property, but needed more coffee cups. Four isn’t enough.
Older property, windows were dirty. Property was very spacious though and had plenty of room to sleep. The pipes in the lower level leaked. It was not fixed and it leaked during the entire stay. Not enough towels for 12 as well. Would probably not stay here again.
The location was easy to get to and had the space we needed for wedding groomsmen and their significant others. The group enjoyed walking distance to restaurants/bars for night activities. There was a strange smell in the home, but didn't bother the group. Would recommend if you have a group.
Was a charming, well restored home in a small town. We enjoyed the view of the Fox River from the patio. Many local bars & restaurants in walking distance. The house was very clean & welcoming! We will definitely stay again!
Loved the house. Updated appliances and fixtures throughout. Comfortable beds. Owner responded quickly when an issue happened. Close to everything in Kaukauna. We will be back.
We attended EAA Airventure. worked out great for us.
Budget friendly property. Quiet neighborhood. Met our family needs.
We had a fun time as a family at Baehr House. The house was great, plenty of room for all of us.
It was wonderful to spend time with family and friends from out of state. The house was very nice with lots of character and beautiful built-ins. We were surprised that it sat so fat from the river. But we were able to find other recreational activities within short driving distances. We were concerned that the listing said it slept 12 and realized that 4 people had to sleep in the basement without partitions or privacy, unfinished ceilings and no egress window or safe second exit in case of fire. We all felt that additional pictures of the basement sleeping area and accurate portrayal of the proximity to the river would have been very helpful in our planning. Our biggest concern was with maintenance and timely repairs. When we realized that the air conditioning was not working we called the management office. The receptionists we spoke with were very kind and polite. However, it took 3 days to solve the problem, which left 6 people sleeping on second floor in temperatures that reached 84 degrees, and windows that would not open.
We enjoyed our stay. House was clean & had everything we needed. We found the beds comfortable and the family room a very nice gathering area. Nice location as anything we needed to buy was a short distance away.
We enjoyed staying at this house. Lots of rooms and we especially enjoyed the fire pit and outside area. We really appreciated being able to walk into town to the coffee shop local bar in bowling alley as well as short trips to other locations nearby.
