Take a plunge into the past in our recently-renovated classic farmhouse situated on a quiet country road - only 1 mile from the shores of Seneca Lake and Glenora Point. We are located in an ideal, centralized location in the Finger Lakes region with close proximity to Seneca and Keuka Lakes and their top-notch wineries and breweries, the quaint villages of Watkins Glen, Hammondsport, and Penn Yan, and the popular wedding venues of Glenora Wine Cellars and Climbing Bines Brewery. You will be walking distance to our favorite winery, Hickory Hollow (0.8 miles), and three of the best restaurants in the entire Finger Lakes region: Tabora Farm and Winery (0.3 miles), The FLX Wienery (0.7 miles), and Veraisons (1.3 miles). All three restaurants offer spectacular food, desserts, local craft beverages, and a cozy atmosphere. You will be hard pressed to find another vacation rental where you can walk on a safe, quiet road to indulge in great food and wines - and not have to worry about a designated driver!

Enjoy quiet days and relaxing evenings sipping coffee or wine on our large porches or play games and grill dinner in our spacious back yard. The road on which the house is located is one of the more scenic roads in the area - it rolls and winds by Mennonite farms, produce stands, and osprey nests - and offers beautiful views of Seneca Lake and the valleys. A great location for biking, walking or a Sunday drive.

Nearby activities:
* Swim in Seneca Lake at Starkey Point, a quiet, family-friendly public swimming area. Just 2 miles away
* Buy fresh produce at one of the Mennonite roadside farmstands
* Go outdside: Explore the area’s many hiking trails including the magnificent gorge at Watkins Glen State Park, bike the scenic country roads & visit the many local waterfalls
* Get on the water: Set sail on Seneca Lake’s boat cruises or rent a kayak or motorboat
* Shop local crafts and produce at the Windmill Farm & Craft Market
* Walk or drive to nearby restaurants and wineries

Every aspect of the house is geared toward a relaxing vacation and allowing you to be in the present with your family and friends. Our property is purposefully lacking televisions (although we did recently add internet). You will have 1 acre of lawn space for grilling and outdoor games as well as the following:
* Large gas grill, 2 picnic tables & plenty of outdoor chairs
* A fire pit in a secluded back yard
* Board games, playing cards, books for all ages & a poker table
* Collection of classic vinyl records and record player as well as two large porches to enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine

The property accommodates 10 people and offers 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (1 full, 1 half). All of the rooms are spacious with attractive wood floors and wood trim including a very large living room with plenty of seating for your group. The house has an abundance of beautiful antique furniture and vintage household treasures.

The house is fully furnished and will provide your group with everything you need for your stay, including:
* Bed linens
* Bath & hand towels
* Kitchen supplies for preparing meals
* Washer & dryer (or an outdoor clothes line if you prefer)
* Drip coffee maker

There is parking in the driveway for 5-6 vehicles.

The property manager lives a few houses away and will be available to help if any issues arise.

No large parties on the property and no rowdy groups. Quiet hours from 10pm - 7am.

Guests of all backgrounds are welcome to enjoy our space. We look forward to hosting you.

    Stayed here with some girlfriends. We had a blast! The house was nice. Love old farmhouses. Could use some updates but overall it was a nice house. We enjoyed our stay.

    We loved everything about this house! My five year old loved the bird decorations and farmhouse feel. My favorite part was sitting on the porch and admiring the tree and wildflower garden in the early evening; it was so very serene. If we ever come back to Corning, we will definitely stay here again!

    Clean, peaceful farmhouse with a very homey feel and many beautiful antique furniture pieces. Beds were comfortable and plenty of seating space for dinner. The yard is very well landscaped with nice flowering bushes and a lovely wildflower patch. Perfect location for an event at Glenora, and walking distance to Tabora winery/bakery which is a must stop for lunch. Perfect setup and convenient for a family stay for a wedding at Glenora.

    Our stay was great- it was a great value and in a great proximity to everything we wanted to do. It was also impressive thst the property could safely accommodate all of our cars (if you book, just follow the owner's instructions and you'll be fine). The house is really close to all sorts of food, so making snap-decisions with a large group on where to go was easy.

    Listing is misleading. It’s a very old house with very old items in it. It stunk to bout it mildly. My kids were grossed out. Most of the furniture feels like it’s gonna break if you sit on it. Bugs in the house. Water pressure is so low they leave a bucket for you to flush the toilet if you run out. Like what???!! Don’t waste your time or money staying here. Very disappointed!!!!!

    The entire family was very happy with our accommodations, location and beauty. We played games, walked outside, took photos and spent 2 different days at 2 different Falls and Gorges enjoying the local nature highlights. As bird loves we went to Ithaca to Cornell's Bird Research Lab as well as visiting the fall and eating in the downtown area. A lovely time and a great place for multi generational joy!!!

    The house was great. The 5 bedrooms were large and roomy. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the porch until late evening. There were plenty of towels, toilet paper & paper towels. The kitchen was roomy enough for several of us to be working in at the same time. The living room was comfortable, the dining table large enough for all of us to eat at. If there had been laundry detergent, we would have started a load but we couldn’t find any. Overall, great house.

    We had a lovely 3-day stay at this house. Everything was clean, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need. The rooms are beautifully decorated. We loved the old record player with the large collection of records from the 40s through the 70s. The porch and the yard are very private, perfect for a morning cup of coffee; our daughter loved the tree swing. Kate was very nice - we had no additional requests, but she was a phone call away at all times, and made sure we had all we needed. We enjoyed our stay - thank you so much!
