It was super clean. It had almost everything we needed, even though we came overly prepared!
This place was amazing, pretty well located, wide spaces, carefully clean, confortable mobiliary, table games for fun. Everything we needed were few minute distance. Definitely we'll be back!
We arrived at our rental and 4 days into our stay, the dryer went out. The next day, the local host called ti let me know someone would be out to service it and she would keep me posted with an update and would process a refund for the inconvenience. Never got a status update or a refund. In fact she never called again. We paid such a large for for a so called “super host” that we didn’t even get a call from. So lugging laundry back and forth to the laundry mat was a huge inconvenience during our trip. I called to follow up on the refund and was told by the Vacasa rep that we had to have all the receipts from the laundry mat for any refund to be given. I let it go, but I’ll never book again with Vacasa.
Location was great, close to the waterfront. Having a gas grill to cook fresh drum and shrimp was nice. WiFi was consistent for working remotely. Friendly neighbors helped us know what was going on in the community. A lovely intro to being a Winter Texan.
This was a nice home to stay in with a few drawbacks. This looks like an older home that was split into 3 units. 2 of the units are private residences and this rental unit sits between them. It looks like it was recently renovated and has a super nice eat-in kitchen, decent bedrooms, and nice bathrooms. It was very clean when we came in too. It is located in a nice neighborhood, close to the bay, and only about a 4 minute drive to the Fulton Harbor park with public pier. The layout is not exactly ideal though. One of the bathrooms is on the complete opposite side of the house from the bedrooms and other bathroom. This wasn’t big issue though. The creepy factor is also kinda high. There are curtains in the bedrooms and blinds on the front windows in the living room but they are notably missing from other areas. You can see into the house from the street and if you can see the back neighbors through the uncovered windows I’m pretty sure they can see you. There are also doors with with combination code pads that you can’t open. Some seem to be closet doors but some seem to attach to the residence on either side of you and one in the far bathroom that could lead into a room or the garage but there is no way for you to lock them on your side for a measure of security. Also the entrance to the unit is off the carport and opens into the laundry area which then has an interior door (it seems to have swollen or something because it takes a little muscle to open) that leads into a room that feels like an enclosed porch or mud room but is basically the beginning of the interior of the house (this is where the 2nd bathroom is). That door has no lock on it. Overall it was a nice quiet stay, but we feel that a few blinds and a few deadbolts would have made this a perfect stay.
This unique unit had a lot more space than we imagined from the pictures. The living room is large and cozy. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was perfect for preparing all meals. Has 2 full bathrooms, one with a great walk in shower and the other with a tub. We really enjoyed our stay.
The unit is updated and furnished very nicely. It's a bit of a quirky floor plan, but very comfortable, nonetheless. Most concerning is the fact that other resident neighbors have the door code and come and go as they wish, using the unit's private laundry facilities. We didn't have anything valuable to worry about, but I would change that door code, you're paying for other people's water and electricity to do their laundry, not to mention they have full access to the unit.
Very cute, cozy rental. Quiet neighborhood and very clean! We enjoyed our stay very much.
