We have been visiting Camden July 4th week for 5 years and this was our first stay at the Wicker Cottage. In short, it was an amazing time. We were close to hiking, the lake, beach, downtown etc and the cottage was a perfect size for our family of four. Michelle has done a lovely job making her home feel welcoming and relaxing and we hope to come back soon!
From the moment you drive into the property you are surrounded by the fresh air and beautiful flowers in the gardens. The cottage is even better than the photos. It is very rhoufhrfully decorated and the kitchen has everything you would ever want or need. The property was also very clean and the location ia ideal. We would walk into Xamxsn town in minutes We would highly recommend this property and hope to someday come back again!
We've stayed in VRBO's all across America and in Europe too. Occasionally, we find one that we wish we could visit repeatedly (or forever) and WICKER COTTAGE is on that list. I hesitate to leave this review, because if word get out about this place, I might not get another reservation! This house is ideally situated about a block and a half from Camden's quaint high street shopping, restaurants and harbor. While both bedrooms are located upstairs, this was perfect for us as I am an early riser and enjoyed my quiet moments downstairs with my coffee, while the hubby slept blissfully upstairs. I AM A SHEET SNOB and Michelle's linens did not disappoint. They felt like butter and I ordered a similar set on-line as soon as I returned home! The kitchen is fabulously stocked. I am one of those weirdos who enjoys cooking (some) on vacation - gas stove, crockpot on-hand, and even an outdoor grill, which satisfied our need for steak one night - visit French and Brawn for the best cuts of meat in town. The decor is on-point for a relaxing home near the sea. The upstairs bathroom has a wonderful clawfoot tub AND a separate shower. The wide plank (pine?) floors are the stuff that Chip and Joanna Gains dream of finding in their Waco renovations. Michelle has loads of coastal magazines, area maps, and menus available if you are a first time visitor. I could keep going, but you get the picture...now, GET A RESERVATION!
Great location! Michelle was responsive and helpful. Can’t wait to return to Camden!
This home is a short stroll into Camden village and within easy driving distance to numerous towns in the region. The outdoor space is quiet and relaxing. An authentic Coastal Maine experience.
The property is so quaint with all of the comforts of home. It is also so convenient and we walked everywhere!
The cottage is an absolute gem! Tucked away in a quiet street at a stone’s throw from Camden center, this charming cottage has everything you need to make you feel at home. Michelle is super responsive and a very helpful host. Book it, you won’t regret it! We already look forward to going back!!
Wicker Cottage was amazing! Everything about this property was superb! Communication with the owner was lightning-fast throughout the entire process. The VRBO listing photos do no do this property justice - the cottage is spacious and absolutely darling. My entire family was delighted with the property - even my 5 y/o son said it was totally awesome! Wicker Cottage was spotless when we checked in and included all of the small things to make our stay extremely comfortable. I can't imagine a better location for the cottage - we walked all over Camden and only moved our car when we left Camden. We were so sad when our ME vacation ended, and a large part of that was because we were sad to leave Wicker Cottage.
Great quaint New England cave and an awesome little neighborhood just a few minutes walk to downtown. The house was actually larger than we thought and had two pretty good size living rooms
Loved Wicker Cottage and all of its charm. The special touches and amenities made it feel like home - Great location - just a short walk through an appealing neighborhood to get to the harbor, shops and numerous restaurants.. The views from Mt Battie were spectacular!
