We were all quite taken aback upon arrival because of how cool, both inside and out, the lodge is. We were all very comfortable and looking forward to visiting again. hopefully next time we can try the sauna! Our host was very forthcoming and full of knowledge.

We had an exceptional stay at this cabin in the Adirondacks. The place was immaculate and equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The host was incredibly attentive and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our stay. There were plenty of thoughtful extras that made our time there even more special. I highly recommend booking for more nights than you initially plan because once you're there, you won't want to leave. This cabin is a true gem! ---

As nice as the photos and description show...and then some. Owners went above and beyond to make visitors feel welcomed and comfortable. Full of character and history, large enough for family and friends to gather, with private spaces within to escape to. Generously appointed kitchen, two refrigerators, two dishwashers, comfortable large bedrooms, toys for children, games for all, pet friendly, grille and smoker, sauna, fire pit, woods to explore, secluded but accessible, market in nearby town....all made for a memorable stay for young and old.

Rented as a home base for my son's groom's people for the long wedding weekend. I certainly hope they left it in spectacular condition, as it is a stunning property and the hosts were lovely. We hope to return at some point and rent it for ourselves! The thoughtful touches never ended. The house was a beautiful mix of old Adirondack design and modern amenities.

I would recommend this property for family reunions and writer and artist retreats. The kitchen was well appointed and there were plenty of public gathering spaces, but there were also a large number of smaller public areas (libraries, screened porches, etc) in which smaller groups could get away and find peace. There were plenty of bedrooms and lots of bathrooms. Both the setting and the home itself were beautiful. The owner and his property manager went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a fantastic one. Nice people and a nice house!

Roomy, comfy, peaceful, relaxing, accommodating and beautiful inside and out. No need to go anywhere. Travistock has it all. Huge kitchen, multiple dinning and sitting areas, selection of books, games, music (even karaoke!), fire pit and best of all - beautiful natural surroundings seen from all windows and a semi wraparound porch. A great place to create memories for a lifetime.

Our family enjoyed a rustic and relaxing Thanksgiving holiday at Tavistock. We were greeted by the Owner and Property Manager upon arrival and given the Grand Tour of the Lodge. Tons of special touches and extras that made our stay extra enjoyable and comfortable. Our two golden retrievers loved the stay as well and the freedom of being able to explore the expansive property. We would highly recommend Tavistock.

A group of friends wanted to get away to just be together to enjoy each other and laugh. The house was amazing. The host, once again, amazing. She met us and took us around the house. She left us little goodies to enjoy. Not one of us wanted to leave. The house included all that was needed. Rustic and modern all in one place.
