Charming Charleston Home-15 mins from DT & AIRPORT

To be completely honest, our stay wasn't the best, but it was almost entirely due to the neighborhood and not the fault of the house. There were a few small things in the house that we felt could use some help. Unfortunately, though the neighborhood just wasn't working for us. The house next door was very unsightly and unnerving, but more importantly were the loud noises and constant interruptions in front of the house. On Friday evening there were lots of people across the street yelling and listening to loud music which continued late into the night, people sitting in their cars for long periods of time with the headlights on which shines directly into the house, someone was blowing an air horn occasionally, and we heard the sounds of glass breaking a time or two. Sometime after 10 pm when it hadn't let up, we decided to get a hotel instead. As we just didn't feel comfortable staying here. I figured this was a one-time occurrence and did not want to knock the property because of it, so I was going to avoid leaving a review. However, when I reached out to the property manager about our situation, she informed me that they have had to contact code enforcement like 20 times on the neighboring property. If this is that prevalent of an issue, I would truly reconsider renting the property out to unsuspecting guests.

The place was clean and very nice. It accomplished everything we needed for a quick trip to enjoy Charleston. Downtown Charleston is not that far and a very reasonable Uber trip.

Host communicated quickly about questions we had. Overall a good home for a quick trip to Charleston!

The house itself was nice and well-kept, but we were a bit surprised upon arriving. The host was quick to respond overall. While it’s located in a decent area, the neighboring properties were a little concerning. There were car parts scattered around and the surroundings just felt a bit shady. We arrived at 4 p.m. but weren’t able to get in until almost 5, which was frustrating. Thankfully, we had a rental car to wait in. We reached out to the host about the delay and did receive a response, but they never really addressed what they planned to do about the situation. The location isn’t bad, it’s an easy drive to downtown and the beaches, just not super close to either.

Overall the stay was great and the house was as described and was perfect for our home base for the weekend. There were a couple minor issues that the host took care of immediately and tried her best to rectify. Great communication. All and all I would stay here again for sure!

This Vrbo property does not sleep 6 adults!!! The listing states that it sleeps 6 people and the host knew that 5 adults would be attending our stay. We were under the impression that there would be two beds and a pullout couch in the living room. When we arrived, there were two beds and a TINY couch in the living room (no way an adult was sleeping on it.) I reached out to the host the day we got there and she said that another guest broke the pullout couch a week before and she had 24 hours to replace it because someone else was checking in that day. We were not told this beforehand and when I told her the communication was very poor she responded now saying that she only had 3 hours to replace the couch and didn't even have time to call me. (even though through my understanding we were not the guests directly after the guests that broke it). I do not fault her for the couch being broken by another guest, but I do fault her for not reaching out and telling us that there would not be somewhere for our 5th person to sleep. We made the most of it and still enjoyed Charleston, but I would not recommend this property. Overall, very poor communication with the host and not ideal sleeping situations!!

We had a short stay in Charleston to visit family. The home was clean and well stocked. Communication with the owner was excllent. It was well worth the price.

Had a great time in Charleston and the house was a perfect fit clean and quaint. Judith was extremely easy to communicate with and responsive.Would recommend.

Interesting. Rooster next door crows various times during day. Allowed us to see Charleston at reasonable rate in comfortable atmosphere.

Most comfortable beds! Perfect size for our 3 person family and for the location to go to the Riverfront Revival! Glad we brought our own towels because bath towels were not provided. Had an absolute blast! This is our first time using VRBO

The listing says that this property sleeps 6, but it sleeps 5 at the most. Our biggest issue with this property is that the photos are inaccurate and contradict the details of the listing. There is no L-shaped couch, nor is there a third queen bed in the living room. Instead of a queen bed OR an L-shaped couch, there is a futon, which only sleeps one. The utensils in the kitchen were less than clean, coffee was old, refrigerator needs to be cleaned and repainted. The bedrooms were as advertised and even though the kitchen table had been moved into the living room, the set up was nice. The missing third bed was incredibly frustrating, as the third bed was the only reason we chose this property. I repeat, this property does NOT sleep 6 adults. 5 adults can sleep here AT MOST.

It was a quaint place with character- be careful of the step into the bathroom and kitchen. It was perfect for our week away from home and I would absolutely come back! Close to shopping, food and the beach!
