Charming Beach Cottage, Sleeps 8, Heated Pool, Private yard, 200 ft to the sand

We were thrilled with our stay at the beautiful home. It had more than enough space for two families with kids and a perfect downstairs main bedroom and bathroom for our Mom who is having some mobility issues. The home had all the amenities we would need. My family and I had the third floor room and the view of the ocean was incredible! My sister and her family enjoyed the second floor with that amazing shower and 4 twin beds. The 1/2 bathroom downstairs was very convenient since we spent a lot of time in the living room enjoying the gas fireplace and comfortable furniture. We made many of our meals on the spacious and well appointed kitchen. We also enjoyed the outdoor barbeque and the pool was amazing!! Having two parking spaces at the property and the extremely short walk to the beach meant we were every day! The home was beautifully and comfortably furnished and made us feel right at home. We laughed together harder than we had in a long time sitting in the living room enjoying the fire. We will definitely be back in the future!

Amazing location and the property itself is pretty special. However, the place was not really clean, was completely cluttered with earlier renters' alcohol, food, etc., and was somewhat in disrepair. When we reached out to the property manager to explain that the oven wasn't working, we got nowhere. Overall, not what we expected at the price.

We had a wonderful time in La Jolla shores. We loved the home which was so comfortable, had everything we needed, and located in a perfect location just steps away from the beach, restaurants, shops, etc. My sons really enjoyed the pool. We hope to be back in the future!

Our family of 7 had a wonderful trip to La Jolla Shores. The home is cleverly laid out to give everyone their own space. The pool, while not huge, was a great addition for the kids. The location couldn’t be better, steps from the park and beach. The owner was easy to interact with and helped with questions throughout our stay. Overall, a great house in the perfect location.

We had a great time and experience! The property was perfect for a spring break for our family of 5. Property manager was fantastic, responsive and provided all the information we needed. The home itself was perfect. Everything we needed to enjoy our time at the beach and beyond was provided. Unbeatable location. Cottage has everything. Very cozy. Seamless experience. Very clean. Highly recommend. I was there with my teenage son but format is perfect for multi-generational families.

This family home packs in quite a bit on a small lot, from a lap pool to full kitchen, outdoor seating areas, and three levels of house. The main BR on the ground floor is perfect for the grandparents/parents - no stairs, en suite full BA. Second floor BR is an open loft with 4 single beds. That space gets pretty hot temperature-wise, and sound from the first floor living room travels. Third floor BR has a double bed and an amazing wraparound deck with ocean view, a TV/sitting area and a full desk. It also does not have a door and is open to the area below. We appreciated staying in a family home which clearly was a happy place for the extended family over many years. It is an actual Vacation Rental By Owner, unlike many VRBOs that are sterile rental-only units. Kitchen is fully equipped, although the ovens were a bit touchy. Tons of plateware, silverware, serving dishes, plasticware for kids or the beach. Many appliances. You can definitely make meals at home. Location is fantastic -1/2 block to La Jolla Shores with its tiny safe waves for tots. The property manager was super responsive, helpful, and nice throughout our stay. We really enjoyed our stay and are grateful to the owners for sharing their home with us.

This is a unique property with a great location. Pool was wonderful and views of the beach and sunset from the top floor deck were spectacular.

The cottage is so great. Location is perfect for young kids access to La Jolla shores, had a blast in the pool as well. Parking on site was easy. We will be back.

Perfect. I’d selfishly like to say something bad so we can continue visiting without worrying about others taking our week, but I can’t. It was perfect!!
