Charming and typical Ile de Ré House. Village center, very calm and renovated

Les Hirondelles is a wonderful house full of character, tucked away down a pretty alley in the heart of Les Portes. The morning croissant run has never been easier! The courtyard was perfect for whiling away the warm summer evenings, and we made good use of the barbecue to grill seafood. The house is very well set up for holidays and incredibly peaceful despite its central location. We loved the simplicity of the decor and really appreciated all the well designed bathrooms. It was great being able to cycle to the beach in just a few minutes or get to the marshes for exploring further afield. Definitely one of the very best places we have ever stayed and one of our best holidays too.

The house is in an excellent location with easy access to the village and beaches. The house is delightful, with a lovely courtyard garden for meals outside. The kitchen is well equipped and there are plenty of bathrooms. I would highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be returning.

The house was wonderful - a perfect holiday home. Extremely well equipped, with flexible living space. The location is quiet but incredibly well located for all local amenities. Could not really fault it.

Amazing property which exceeded our expectations. We had the convenience of being right in the centre of the village whilst having the most peaceful feeling once we entered the courtyard. The owners have gone to great lengths to present the property as a home which makes you feel welcome and relaxed. Everything you could possibly need was provided including childrens toys! We are already trying to convince more of our friends to come back next year!
