Charming A-frame retreat in a beautiful, natural, and private setting

This place was beautiful, incredibly welcoming, comfortable, spacious, and brilliantly decorated. The hosts responded to the few questions I had quickly. The highlight of the trip, the night sky, was absolutely gorgeous. The cabin itself is an experience too! The notes left behind in journals by other visitors to the cabin were beautiful to read. Truth be told it was an absolute perfect retreat for my friends to get away from the city and into nature. Without a doubt I'll be coming here in the future, when the weather is a bit warmer! :)

A really marvelous rental in this rural corner of Penn. We came here for the night sky stars, the weather didn’t always cooperate with us but we had a great time largely due to this terrific home. A wonderful spread of property — including a lovely little pond and tiny dock, and hungry fish — makes you feel like you’ve got all you need to unwind and kick back for however many days. There are adirondack chairs down by the pond and a well made fire pit, for enjoying sparks and company. The entire experience was top notch. There are lovely and friendly illustrated signs throughout the home, explaining where to hang keys, access the wifi, or inviting you to use different facilities. It is amazing well stocked with smart books and fun board games, dishware, cleaning supplies and toiletries, binoculars — and a hello bottle of wine from the hosts. There are even postcards (and stamps) to talk up your good time with friends. Everything is well labeled, so you know what switch to turn and door to open. There’s an entire “how to” instruction manual on the island in the kitchen to give you the 411 on every feature, local places to get food, etc. The A-Frame is an amazing design, that gives you openness, and also a little bit of exploration. Our son isn’t so young anymore, but we all loved the space themed loft area above, and the family room below. Can’t say enough wonderful things about this property! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful views of the sunsets and the stars right from the massive upper deck. Very nice fire pit area with hammocks for relaxing as well! My dog absolutely loved running around the yard and swimming in the lake. Plus the inside of the house is very well stocked with all the supplies you’ll need for your stay. Everything is labeled very nicely as well to make things super easy to find. Communication with Noelle the host is very easy. Would definitely recommend this VRBO to anyone looking to stay in Coudersport!

Wow! My family and I came here for MDW to get away from the city lights and see some stars.The hosts are so, kind, accommodating, and super responsive to any questions? Or requests. I say this respectfully though, I don’t know how smart they are, because I wouldn’t let any of you stay in this gem of a property. It is absolutely stunning and the pictures don’t do it justice.During the day we were able to hang at the pond, let the dog run, grill, and jump on some 4wheelers we rented down the road. The house was clean, comfortable, loaded with amenities, and absolutely immaculate. Protect this house at all cost! Don’t be a slob and mess it up for everyone. Last thing. The guy who wrote the 2 star review is an absolute miserable, bed bug of a human! Don’t be a loser like that guy!

Very cool property if you are looking for something in the middle of nowhere. The road to get to the property is long and winding and not much fun for a minivan so be prepared for that. Unfortunately had to cut our stay short.

Excellent property, very clean and wonderfully decorated. Very relaxing. Kitchen well stocked. Would definitely live here as a primary residence. Just far enough away from everyone but close enough for errands.

Everything was as expected. I had no wants that were not met. We enjoyed the deck, kitchen,and bedrooms. All was as good as could have been desired.

We selected the A-Frame at Cherry Springs for our recent stargazing trip, based on the pictures of the property and its location - only 8 miles from Cherry Springs State Park. Communications with the host were excellent; Noelle responded to my text messages within minutes! Check-in and check-out were both simple processes. I set my telescope up on the roomy deck and enjoyed multiple nights of spectacular skies! What's not obvious in the pictures is that the property is right next to PA-44... everyone drives with their brights on and the bright lights are an annoyance. The house was clean and is kept in excellent condition. We're a retired couple, both with a pair of knee replacements; we struggled with climbing up and down the steps between the main living area (with the big screen TV) and the kitchen. We visited Cherry Springs State Park, Austin Dam and the WW2 Museum in Eldred; I wasn't expecting much from Austin Dam and the WW2 Museum, but they were surprisingly good and very much worth the time. Be sure to feed the fishes in the pond; it's a zen thing. :) All in all, an excellent property in an excellent location!

The A Frame is a Relaxers Paradise! The house is gorgeous and absolutely spotless( thank you Janet and Noelle ), and the grounds are beautiful. Everything you need is provided, just come, kick back, respect the home and property and have a wonderful time

Beautiful property. Very private and lots of land with great view. Loved sitting out on the deck and enjoying the surroundings. It’s a great place for stargazing. Added bonus: The beds are really comfortable with high quality pillows.

Great place to stay with a great view of the stars and a few restaurants close by. We were on Motorcycles, and it sure was fun getting there!

Our family loved our time at this house. It was spacious, beautiful, and a great location. Would highly recommend staying here as the amenities were top notch. We could not have picked a better place to stay in Cherry Springs.

This property was so wonderful that we didn't want to leave! It was impeccably clean. The beds and chairs were all comfortable. It was just me and my husband, but I could see how well it would accommodate more guests. Each bedroom is on a separate floor and offers enough space and privacy that would suit two couples or a family with children. The kitchen had everything you could need to cook. It was hands-down the best equipped kitchen we've ever had in a vacation rental. The grounds were wonderful. It was so pleasant to sit on the very spacious deck and look out at the lake below or take a walk around the lake. We went to the Cherry Springs area in order to see the stars and the milky way. We quickly discovered that you can see everything just as well from the deck as you can from the field at Cherry Springs State Park. My husband was able to get some amazing pictures of the night sky. We would return to this house without hesitation. Finally, the owners were so helpful and friendly! Love this place!

It was wonderful!!!! Felt like we lived there so comfortable and quiet so welcoming as soon as you entered the door. Host was very accommodating to our emails and request very pleasant felt like I knew her !!! Just a short distance from cherry springs state park, but honestly the stars from the deck were spectacular.!!!! Love Love Loved it here !!!!! Can feed the fish in the pond too they provide food..so fun !! I could keep going and going Great Place !!!!

This property was very comfortable and homey, and the amenities were as described. The view was fantastic and in a very peaceful setting. The location was perfect, very easy to get into town. I would highly recommend this property if youre looking to get away from the hustle and bustle!

This home is very cozy. The deck is a great place to sit, relax and look at the stars. The kitchen is well equipped. The owners are easy to communicate with and answered questions promptly. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine which was a nice touch. One thing, make sure you bring all the food/drinks you’ll need as this property isn’t close to many things. Sheetz, Dollar General, McDonalds, nearby.
