Charming 2 BR house in Old Hickory Village, a short walk from the lake road

The home is adorable with off the street parking.Like most of the rentals check-in was a breeze with the touch pad entry.Great location to Nashvilleand all surrounding areas. There is Close a wonderful market/deli and coffee house within walking distance.We did have to communicate with the owner and she was very quick to respond.The only reason we didn't give her 5 stars is - the house had a cat urine smell. Our allergies were off the chart. Side note: We've stayed at other home rentals that have an approved animal policy with no problems. We thought this would fine. We reached out to the owner and told her of the problem. To help solve the problem we did purchase Pooph (Pooph is a fragrance-free eco-friendly, and safe to use around people, pets, and plants on surfaces like carpets, upholstery, and hard floors. It's an odor eliminator that claims to dismantle odors at a molecular level.) which helped some. She had offered to reimburse us for the cost, we didn't think it was necessary.

A beloved home I rely on. Magnificent place to rest your head. Sweet neighborhood. Great restaurants (shout out to Old Hickory Pizza, Roadside, and Don Julio. Neighborhood market a quick walk away, and en route a breakfast lunch joint Dose. I love it here!

We loved our stay at the Hadley House! Everything was just as listed and the host was very good about communicating with check in/out. It was very clean and tidy. All the decor was so cute and everything was well stocked!

Quiet neighborhood, charmingly decorated house. Yard was a hit with my dog! Helpful suggestions for restaurants from the host. Would be glad to rent this house again if I’m back in the area!

My wife and I totally enjoyed our stay in this fantastic house. Everything needed for our short stay was found in this place including coffee, snacks, books, games, soaps, shampoo, etc., etc. Small touches like the Jenga block for guests to leave notes on to the small keepsake that guests are encouraged to take home with them made us feel welcome during our stay. The location was very convenient for venturing out and exploring on road trips around Nashville.

Great property! Quiet neighborhood. In walking distance of a good coffee shop and a great pizza shop! Chris was very easy to get a hold of and also made great suggestions for the area.

Hands down the absolute best rental we have ever stayed at!! Super clean, comfortable, and has everything you could possibly need and more!! Host is the best!! As with prior stay, this is a wonderful place to rest during your life moments in Nashville. Easy drive in to heart of all action, but stick around Old Hickory for Old Hi Kory Pizza and pub, walks by lake, Roadside Restaurant,….

It felt like home as soon as we walked in! Very clean. The little extras was impressive, especially the “junk drawer”. Beautiful neighborhood. We would love to stay here again if we come back to Nashville.

My wife and I, along with our dog, enjoyed our stay. Everything was as advertised. The neighborhood is under some revitalization and we learned of its history from the locals. The local market and coffee shop were nice and the locals were helpful. Eating at Sam’s at their marina is a must. No issues with our Host, checked on us just to make sure we had no additional needs.

More than hoped for. A quiet neighborhood home, full of comforts, delightul art, games, books and whimsical touches.

Very enjoyable home away from home. Old Hickory Village is a gem of a community, with nearby lakeside walking, pizzeria dining, walkable neighborhood (very sweet), spacious backyard, great shaded lazy porch,…. Quick 20-25 minute drive to Nashville. Many thanks to Chris for grand hospitality (Grade:A).

Hadley House was a charming and private vintage home with an excellent host! Home was clean, well-lit and cozy. We found the kitchen to be well stocked, fun porches, nice laundry facilities..everything you need!

This was the perfect home away from home. The host was very welcoming and friendly. The house was cute and cozy and had everything we needed. There were so many little extra things sitting around to enjoy, like books and games, and a Jenga guest book! There were even treats for your dog, and cat treats to give to the neighbor’s kitty when she visits! The bed was very comfortable, so were the pillows, and I’m usually a pillow snob! The neighborhood was nice and quiet and there’s a great little coffee shop right down the road with a cool vibe. We would definitely consider staying here again the next time we come down! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Chris was a wonderful host! The home was spotless, and many small thoughtful amenities were included. We enjoyed the visits from Stevie Nicks, and apparently she was not in the mood for the fish treats so recommend starting with the non-fish bag first! Even though it was chilly out, I took time to enjoy the lovely deck. In spring and summer with the trees fully leafed out, it must be quite private and lovely! The beds were comfortable, and the water pressure was amazing (it's the little things, ha!)! The soaking tub was wonderful and Chris even had bath salts available which was so so appreciated. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything necessary, and I was particularly fond of the throw blankets to get cozy on a stretch of cloudy cold days in Nashville. The house is laid out nicely and just feels very comfortable and safe to be in. It's an easy drive to the airport, even in traffic time, and nearby 5 Agaves is the perfect Mexican spot!! Flour Your Dreams and Sisters bakeries are nearby, and Dose had AMAZING drinks and sandwiches! We didn't get to sample their pastries, we slept too late and they sold out fast! Thank you Chris for a great stay!

This is the best VRBO we have stayed in! Chris is a great host; good communication and recommendations. The house has everything you could need (or didn't even realize you would want)- there are even cat treats in the cupboard so you can feed Stevie Nicks the neighborhood cat that might stop by! It was very clean, the bathtub was a dream, and the fenced in yard is great for your canine friends. Reasonable driving distance into the city, and we never had problems with traffic. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Nashville!

We chose this location because it was pet friendly with a fenced yard. We were with my mother in law who is 88 and we needed a shower that was easy for her access. The home was very quiet and comfortable.We went to Sams grill the first night we were there. It was only 5 minutes away and the food was good, so was the atmosphere. Chris had told us about it prior to our arrival.If I had any complaint it was the bed pillows were too fat, I usually bring my own pillow for that reason and I had forgotten, but I wouldnt change my review because of it.Thank you Chris for everything!
