Charming 2-bedroom house with AC, WiFi in brilliant Detroit

Host was kind and responsive but house was in poor condition not as nice as pictured. There is NO KING size bed as advertised (only twin and full). It was obviously smoked in often and not clean. Some sheets were worn through and mattresses were cheap and hard. We found smoking remnants throughout the home in windowsills, closets, drawers with other personal items like an inhaler. Washer and dryer were barely working and the furnace struggled too. Some parts of the house just would not warm up. Woke up one night and it had dropped to 54 when set at 68 degrees. Maybe ok for one night but overpriced and not consistent with what was advertised.

Good communication and nice place to stay it’s also a quiet place

We were never given check in information I had to reach out which a prompt response was given. Then was informed the oven didn’t work and the dryer, the dryer was said to be fixed but when washing the washer didn’t drain and the dryer tripped the breakers

definitely enjoyed my stay , it was a cozy place for me and my friends to stay and it had enough room and space for everyone

Most definitely will book again Rufus was good with communication and the house is very nice I’ll book again another day

Great property and great host , I will be booking again

The host was great in communication but when checking in it was difficult. The cleaning of the house could be better had to clean the toilet and it was hair on the bed and clothes in the washer so I couldn’t wash the sheets and not much laundry detergent and no toiletries only one roll of tissue and no paper towels. Overall the house in general was pretty decently clean. It looked like someone was living there previously and didn’t get to clean efficiently before we arrived. Pretty decent stay for 2 days just focus more on the house being more clean before guests come. Host was great ac was popping in that boy so that’s a plus and WiFi and tvs was good back room was good and great for a small get together.

I booked the stay here and the home was not clean. It looked as if someone lived here and took all of their personal belongings out of the home. Host refused to communicate through VRBO messaging. He kept calling from his personal phone. We DID NOT stay here and reached out to Rufus for a refund. He never responded. Photos attached are from walk through.

The house needs work. It needs ti be painted along new room doors. Two of the vents in the wall has something in them.Once these items are cleaned up the house would be a great place to stay. The house location was convenient

Nice sized space. Definitely a work in progress in the repairs and upgrades to the house itself. Fridge was clean, spaces were clean, the bed was comfy and we liked having that TV for background noise while we were there. The kids at the park were a little noisy and the walls weren't very sound proof from the outside world. Overall, very enjoyable stay.

Overall great stay but it seems like someone actually lives there and it could have been cleaner. Overall great home wonderful block and enjoyed the stay .

Nice and comfortable house close to all shopping and food in a quiet location. House was clean and we had access to the back yard, which was a plus. Mr Rufus was very nice and accommodating. He answers right away and checks up on you to make sure everything was good. I would definitely recommend his place. He is a very good host. Thank you!

The host was Awesome!!! Easy to communicate with made sure we had a great stay while at his property. Will definitely stay again.

It was nice and cozy host was very nice and understanding tv cord needed for the front room though but 3 other perfect tvs, and a lot of space in the house

Very lovely home and was exactly like the pictures. There was a small hiccup, but it was resolved and very considerate.

Owner was very helpful and kind. Place is decent and very clean. Owner was great with communication and called me right away when he thought the cleaning team was going to be behind and ended up getting me in on time. He was willing to accommodate if not. Would stay again.

We were going to Eloise asylum and needed a place to stay. It was perfect. Close to the location, easy to get to, host was very nice. Would start again if we were in town
