Didn't realize there was a holding tank for water. Owner expects guests to limit water usage. No well or municipal water system. Septic was limited also. Staircase was filthy. Otherwise, it was just okay.

This property was far enough to feel very private and close enough that we could still enjoy civilization. We totally loved the liston and experience. The property had everything for you to feel like you never left home! Definitely returning when we can!

Pretty much as expected. Generally clean except the carpet on the stairs and the many dead flies in the bathroom light fixture. Kitchen utensils are very sparse. Two trash bags for a ten day stay. Single ply toilet paper and not much extra, we bought our own. But the price was right.

The property is secluded, yet only about 20 minutes away from whatever you need i.e. stores etc. Staying here had a cabin like vibe, but you had all your basic essentials provided. Since the place is out of the city, the house is on a septic, and water is delivered to the property. The water pump was pretty loud when you would run the water or flush a toilet. The property could use some lamps for the living room and the bedroom, so you wouldn't have to turn on the overhead lights. It was odd to not have a nightstand lamp. Once in bed, you don't want to get up to turn off the ceiling light at the light switch...it makes more sense to have a lamp by your bedside to easily turn off to go to sleep. I appreciated all the space we had with a nice size kitchen, and the house can accommodate more people because of the additional bedroom. The bathroom downstairs next to the living room needs to have the ceiling light cleaned, there was so many bugs/flies.

The location was good, it's far enough from the city to feel like you are out in the country but close enough to enjoy the city. The house could use some up grades and a good cleaning.

Nice place happy with everything except the fridge wasn't working till we worked with the controls. Then the ice maker leaked water. Otherwise had everything we needed.

Great stay outside of Fairbanks. Overall was really nice, spacious area, and well outside of town. There was a minor issue with the water pump which the host resolved really quickly, and the only other thing to note is be mindful of mosquitoes and there's a rooster next door which when daylight lasts for 22 hours meant the rooster was awake for most of that.

Property not ready for rental1. Temperature was -15 approx. We understand it gets cold there - however - we're from Minnesota and it gets just as cold without these issues. Tub drain kept freezing. Turned on heat pumps - Took approx 2 hours to thaw out pipes. VERY LIMIT USE OF SHOWER unfortunately.2. 2 days in a row we had no running water in the kitchen. We did our best to keep clean but on final day we could not do the dishes due to this issue. Again, it took 2 hours to thaw out. 3. Last 2 days we had zero COLD water once we got the pipes thawed out. (Kitchen and tub/shower) - We had cold everywhere except where it was needed. Great hot water but it would scald you so you could not wash dishes or shower because of it.4.Upper right bedroom: Mattress needs replacing. There was a bulge in the middle so when you would lay down your butt would be higher than your back and it made it very uncomfortable. - Bathroom had no switch plate cover over the light switch. Bare wiring was exposed allowing a risk of shocking yourself if not careful. (Especially at night when dark - which is 18 hours a day in the winter)4. Only heat in house was on lower floor. Upstairs and main floor bath had no heat registers. Relied on fans to spread heat around which made the house cold for the family. Unfortunately the -15 degree temp didn't help. However, we shouldn't have to deal with no water/shower ablility while on a vacation. 5. Fix Dead Bolt Lock

Great property, fast enough away from the city that you aren't on top of your neighbor but close enough to go get what you need or want. House was very clean and great layout. Contact with property owner was great and quick. Had a small issue, but contacted owner and he was on it right away and quickly took care of it. Definitely would recommend this as a place to stay and we will definitely return. The location is far away from everything that it don't great the road noise and it is dark with no light pollution so the northern lights would be amazing here.

After staying in hotels and resorts for the past week, staying in a house in the woods was absolutely perfect. The operative word here is “in the woods “ which means being cognizant of water usage, etc., and respecting the septic system rules. We felt far away from everything yet were just 15 minutes away from all we wanted to do in and around Fairbanks. The only thing that eluded us were the Northern Lights, which, if it weren’t cloudy, would have been a perfect place to watch right from the bedroom window! We loved the place. Thank you for your hospitality Jeffrey
