Charming 1960 Lakefront Cottage Stunning Sunsets Covered Boat Dock Pet friendly

The home was absolutely perfect. Just as described. Would definitely recommend the home and will stay again when I get back to the area.

Very well appointed home. Had everything we needed for a month's stay for fishing. Lake was a bit low, but the boat floated! House does have a lot of steps, but it was no issue for us. Comfortable, clean furniture and couldn't ask for anything more with the kitchen. Did I mention the view?!?!?! Easy access to the bike trail. We love the house as it's off the beaten trail, very private. If you stay, down the road is Niko's....don't let the biker bar vibe fool ya, excellent food. If you're a fried chicken fan, make the Chicken King a stop. Would absolutely stay again.

The host was excellent and even walked my brother through the property when he stopped to see it on our behalf.

Beautiful location

I can't put into words how PERFECT our stay was here on the lake !! The cottage is absolutely amazing and the view cannot be beat! I am in love with the interior The location is wonderful it feels remote but easy access to several towns. We would love to stay again!

Location was excellent with many things to do nearby. The Withalacoochie bike trail and the lake for kayaking was great. Everything was there in the house as far as toiletries. Great sunsets from the back patio and in general peace and quiet.

It was exactly what we wanted and needed. Fishing was great also.

The host was very quick to respond, the place was fully equipped.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was the perfect getaway! The house was perfect filled with everything we needed and that lake view and sunsets were the icing on the cake.

The Lake Front House is even more gorgeous in person. I am a big fan of older homes and this home has curb appeal plus charm. The big open living areas and the view of the lake plus 3 separate patio areas outside gave us complete privacy to read a book and just enjoy the sunset as well as the sunrise. The host responded quickly to some quick questions and the location is private but still close to main roads with easy access.

Loved this house! I was needing a quiet stay for 4 nights. My wife and I loved the lake views from anywhere in the house! Even in the kitchen. So peaceful! We went to Crystal River one day and Ocala once! Publix was close by too. Bed was very comfortable. Lots of charm!

The house is very well appointed. In the evening walking into the house some flower was blooming and smelled amazing. The entire stay was wonderful

My sister-in-law and I really enjoyed our stay. It is a comfortable and cute home with outstanding sunsets over the lake!

Really enjoyed the lake and the house, it really has that great cozy fish camp feel. It’s a quiet area even with the boats on the lake over the weekend, it feels like summer. Owner responded well to all questions and communication. The house was clean and comfortable. To top it off we got to see the bats at sunset leaving it’s house on the boat dock.

Stayed for 7 days. Very relaxing, cozy, quiet place right on the lake. Perfect sunsets would definitely recommend and would stay again. Fun, simple activities around the towns and some good antiquing if you’re into that.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lake house in Hernando. It's a bird watcher and fisherman's paradise. It was so relaxing. The sunsets were amazing and we enjoyed watching the bats come out of the bat house (on the dock) after sunset each evening. Highly recommend.

Old Florida

We had a great week staying at this house! The listing was accurate with regards to the photos. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. The interior living room and kitchen was vintage (in a good sense), while there were upgrades of the fridge and appliances. Bathrooms were updated. Exterior was good, with the dock being a highlight. We enjoyed the swing on the dock and watching the sunset. It was so nice having the kayaks and paddle boat. Even though the area may seem isolated, there were a lot of varied activities to participate in, especially State forests and hiking trails. Beautiful beaches are about 30 minutes away. Overall it was exactly as pictured and highly recommended.

I was traveling solo, property was nice.

This property was a quiet, relaxing place. The home is decorated with many repurposed antique pieces giving an informal homey atmosphere. If you enjoy boating/kayaking, you will especially enjoy this location. We enjoyed shopping in the local antique shops and visiting the local restaurants. The location is easy to find with a GPS, but be aware that the last section of the road is not paved and is narrow. (You might think you're on the wrong road if you aren't using a GPS.) However this did not cause any issue in getting in and out as the road only accesses a few homes and there is little traffic.
