We stayed here while visiting our freshman at UC and really appreciated how dog-friendly the property was — especially since our son missed our dogs! The house is located on a quiet street in a working-class neighborhood. While the safety rating wasn’t the highest, the neighbors were friendly and respectful. Two local kids even came by offering to do housework to earn money for their mom’s birthday, which was a sweet moment. The home itself is older but functional. It had everything we needed to cook a few basic meals, and the space was easy to clean — no carpet, and we brought a king-sized sheet to protect the couch from dog hair (dogs aren’t allowed on furniture, which we respected). All the basics were provided and in good condition, including spices, salt and pepper, shampoo, and body wash. The HVAC was supplemented with well-placed window units, which kept us comfortable. The fridge door didn’t seal perfectly, but it was manageable for a short stay — we just kept perishables toward the back. Wi-Fi and hot water worked well throughout. We were initially nervous about booking since there were no reviews, but the owner/manager is a Superhost, which gave us confidence. Check-in and check-out policies were strict but clearly communicated. There were lots of nearby shopping areas within a mile, which made it easy to grab groceries and essentials. My teen boys even walked to a nearby gym, which was a great way for them to stay active during our stay.

One member of our family is excessively clean and she was impressed that when she mopped the floor in her room and other areas the mop was clean.

The dangerous front steps are not in the pics.Dirty, stinks and did not stay. Left instantly and I called the owner. He committed to refunding the for the stay. Of course that didnt happen. He refuses to speak with me and doesn't return messages. Do not stay here, you'll hate it.
