the property its self very nice, would have like to known which four acres was there property's and you cannot see the lake, its down a cliff path ,and when you get down there's no cleared place to set or enjoy the lake. And the trail down had a lot of trash. And would have been nice to have the broken down hot tub working? Also need stair well railing in the basement. And the shelfing unit on the stairs is hazard as it grab my sweater and pulled out the loops of my brand new made in Ireland sweater coat ! they are sharp and dangerous. As the stair way is slippery and dangerous. Also bathroom carpets slip and are dangerous. Air conditioner units need help super nosey upstairs when cooling.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin! It was a perfect landing spot for us. Spacious for a family of 6. The hosts were super quick to help with an AC issue we had. We enjoyed the secluded location - there is another house right next to the cabin, but they were super quiet, respectful, and kind. We would book this cabin again!

We enjoyed the remote log cabin. It was a challenge finding the driveway in the dark and we had to make a scary turn around when we missed it. The kitchen had all we needed for preparing meals and cleaning dishes. The king bed in the upstairs loft was comfortable but short on privacy. The bathrooms were clean and tidy but small. The only shower is in the basement, but the tub on the main floor was quaint. The upstairs air conditioner had a loud fan, but kept the place at a comfortable temp. We enjoyed the decks and view of free range chickens running around the property. The neighbors dogs barked at us a bit and there was a friendly cat. Grateful for the hosts providing coffee for the Keurig.

Fantastic cabin! Great for family with 3 kids. Super clean and beautifully decorated. Loved the claw foot tub! King bed upstairs was comfy. We roasted hot dogs and smores each night. The arcade games downstairs was a huge hit. We hiked Cummins falls which was about a 30 min drive and then came back and went fishing at the lake. Great time!

The cabin was very cozy and nice. It did not have a direct view of the lake but was a short walk to it. The neighbors were very friendly and so were the chickens. They were fun to be around. Great place to stay and just unplug.

Very clean and very remote. Had a great stay. Loved the arcade games. The air conditioners were a bit loud but certainly not an issue. Had plenty of hot water for showers. Loved that there is a coffee machine in the loft bedroom and it’s own balcony.

My buddies and I had a great little summer getaway here. We walked down to the dock at the end of the road 1 day and grilled burgers. It was a very fun stay and I would definitely do it again!

The road to the cabin is narrow and rocky, be prepared for that. We were unsure where to park due to the closeness of the house next door (50 ft away). Entering the cabin we found the master upstairs with no clothing storage or closets. The master bath was skinny and the size of an RV bath. No shower except for in the bottom floor. The a/c units were on and extremely loud, so much so we had to turn them off. The living area was quaint, but the couch lacked springs and firmness...it was sinking. Not comfortable. Several kitchen knobs were falling off as we tried to open cabinets or drawers. The refrigerator and freezer were not super clean and no icemaker working...dirty old ice bags in freezer. Outside - the firepit was near the other house so not convenient or comfortable to use. Kids and chickens roaming all weekend. Grill on porch heatshield rusted and did not feel safe to use. We were only told at the last minute about check in and how the neighbors on the property were nice. No complaints really about the neighbors, however, too close for serenity. Felt like we were intruding on their property. While the ad says 4 acres, that might be true, you don't have it all to yourself. FYI, the rooster crows at 7:19AM every day. Video movies selection good, games were missing pieces, and TV lack of antenna and with weak wifi you had to watch movies only. Rug in living room is curled and a tripping hazard. Would not stay here again.

Loved the remote location of this property. Close to many state parks and very close to (right on) center hill lake. The cabin itself was very clean and neat. Loved the porches and the loft. Everything about it was great.

This cabin was wonderful. It was secluded but close enough to get to all the surrounding waterfalls and Cookeville. We loved it here and the girls loved having their own space in the basement.

This cabin is lovely. Very clean. The outdoor space (both the firepit and the multiple decks) were great places to hang out. We ate all of our meals on the deck when we weren't eating out. There are some great places to eat and good shopping in Cookeville. There are lots of state parks and waterfalls in the area. One day we did a kayak excursion with Canoe the Caney. That was fun! Another day we rented our own kayaks at Cookeville Boat Dock and kayaked to Fancher Falls. Another day we hiked to Burgess Falls in Burgess Falls State Park and Twin Falls in Rock Island State Park. There were others but we just ran out if time. Back to the cabin. It was well-stocked with all of your kitchen needs. One tip, the little things laying around in various places that look like mints...they are actually wash towelettes. We wondered why there were no bath clothes or dish clothes in the kitchen to wash dishes. The king bed in the loft was super comfortable. We slept very well, which was awesome after hiking or kayaking all day. However, the bed in the downstairs room was not comfortable. It might be OK for kids, but for my son and daughter-in-law, it was not comfortable. They might want to look at upgrading the mattress, or possibly adding a topper. Overall, it was a great vacation, though.

The perfect spot for outdoor adventures. Comfortable cabin with a beautiful deck and access to a hugh lake. We saw 5 waterfalls in 3 days , hiked miles of challenging trails . Do not forget to go to Cookeville, excellent restaurants and fun shops. No lines , no crowds , no screaming kids, just an awesome time at Serenity Cabin.
