Reviewer Comments: We found Cattail Cottage to be spotlessly clean and comfortable with added features such as an outdoor shower with both hot and cold water; hypoallergenic linens, pillows and paper products; and a lovely outdoor deck to sit on and enjoy a meal or your morning coffee!Its central location is ideal; it’s only a 4-mile drive to the beach and a 10-minute walk to Island Creamery to get ice cream.We look forward to returning in the future!

Stayed Jul 12, 2025Neat, clean, cozy, with a coastal vibe. Just the right size for the 2 of us, although there's enough room for a few more people if needed. Close to shops, the National Park, beach. Wonderful to have the outside shower to ride one or sand before going into the cottage. Grateful for the air condition units.

Stayed Apr 2, 2025This charming, coastal themed cottage was conveniently located to Assateague Island, Wallops Island, and Chincoteague! It was clean, gave abundant information on the area, and in a quiet location. My husband and I enjoyed our stay at our home away from home for a reasonable price!

Stayed Sep 20, 2024The harbor checking stated 2 queen beds, but one was a king. Also misleading weather linnens & towels are included or need to bring your own. Everything else was great!’

We have been coming to Chincoteague for roughly 50 years. This is the first time in quite awhile just my wife and I. The cottage was perfect size. Barbour rentals has always treated us very nicely and professionally, we will be back.

The latest upgrades are amazing, and made our stay a real pleasure. I love that it's so clean, and easy to keep clean! It's also thoughtfully appointed to make guests comfortable.

I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I believe this was my 4th or 5th stay at Cattail Cottage. A good friend stayed with me, and the set up with the new bathroom was ideal in that we did not disturb each other. I slept on the pull out sofa in the back room and was able to spread out my work on the table and work at my computer without disturbing Jane who slept in the bed room. I love everything about this cottage!!!
