Stayed Oct 20, 2025This little Casita suited me perfectly for an extended stay in Taos. It had plenty of room for me and easily accomodated 2 people when i had a guest. Its a 10 minute walk to the downtown square and a 30 minute drive to Taos Ski Valley. The photos in the listing do not do it justice. For example the little kitchen was clean, well stocked with appliances and dishes, and i really enjoyed cooking in it. The casita has large windows facing south and west allowing a flood of warm winter sun in and at the same time were shielded from view of any neighbors (of which there are few.) The Taos sunsets in winter were a beautiful almost spiritual experience most nights. The nighttime sky was dark and full of stars and planets. I truly enjoyed my stay.

Stayed Jan 3, 2023I rented this property for just over a month to enjoy the skiing and art scene in Taos. It was everything I wanted. Close to all the locations I was interested in, but also secluded & private.

Stayed Oct 11, 2019A fantastic place to stay while in Taos. The house is in a very quite street and is in easy walking distance to Taos Plaza. The house has everything that you need as is a very relaxing home. If we come back to Taos, we will definitely stay here again.

Stayed Jul 25, 2019The casita is quiet and feels like you are staying in the country even though it is very close to the plaza. I loved my walk every morning down the dead end road. The casita is clean and decorated nicely. Thanks to the owners for a comfortable stay!

Stayed Jul 5, 2019This was the perfect location for my 2-week stay in Taos, reconnecting with an area I love but which I hadn't the opportunity to enjoy in 35 years. Very conveniently located in a quiet, lovely neighborhood and only a 15 minute walk to the plaza, I couldn't have asked for a better location, a more comfortable lodging, or more accommodating hosts!! Thank you Dave & Petra; I look forward to a return visit.

Stayed May 28, 2019Casita Rael was perfect for a weeklong getaway. The house itself is very Taos traditional - adobe outside, and painted in traditional southwestern colors and art patterns within. The furniture isn't fancy, but neither are my wife and I. It is quite comfortable and very clean; that's what counts. Outside, the front yard is well gardened, shaded with several cottonwood trees, and very comfortable to sit in and read in the heat of the day. The house is on a tiny dead-end street with a large field directly behind it. Thus, there are practically no city or traffic noises; blissfully quiet. The house is located near several major art galleries and about 10 minutes walk from Taos Plaza. You can enjoy the arts district without even starting your car. Dave and Petra, the owners, live next door. They're not in your business all the time, but are there if you need them. And they are delightfully friendly and helpful.
