Cast Away Waterfront Getaway with Dock

Perfect for us

Spent Lavor day weekend with family fishing and boating as the weather and wind permitted. Beautiful place, we love the Pamlico / Neuse River area. Caught a mess of fish including my wife's first Bull Drum. Spent the rest of the week with a group of friends. Could not have asked for a better week! Everyone loved the house. We will definitely be back!

We could now have had a better vacation. The house was very clean and stocked with everything we needed to enjoy ourselves. The area was beautiful and we enjoyed seeing all the local wildlife with deer in the front yard and turkey running around the area. We even caught a glimpse of a bear. The fishing dock was another great feature of the house. We caught a wide variety of fish and enjoyed just sitting on the dock watching the boats passing. The little town of Oriental had everything we needed and the area is beautiful . We hope to be able to enjoy a return trip next year

Wonderful stay with family. The fisherman in our family loved the ability to bring the boat and the use of the dock and amenities. Beautiful view and peaceful, private setting. I also loved all of the art and pottery pieces in the home.

Perfect stay - in every way! Could not have been more pleased. This lovely home has it all! Screened porch and pier - spot on heaven! Me being ex-USN - was enthralled by the jets flying overhead! Thanks for such a lovely get-a-way!

Great area and place

This was our second time staying here and it was just what we needed. Our duck hunting guides picked us up right off the dock and we were in the blinds hunting in no time.

Enjoyed the waterfront and the peace and quiet of the neighborhood.

Exceeded my expectations, even after reading reviews and looking at listing pictures. The place is beautiful and well maintained. I’ve stayed any many rentals and overall this may be my favorite. So clean, so well-organized, had zero issues with anything. SO peaceful. My favorite part was listening to the sound of the wind through the trees and the wind chimes. We will be back 100%.

We loved our stay at this property! The listing was 100% accurate. We worked remotely for the two weeks we were there and had no problem with internet. The living spaces were great, but the screened-in porch is the star of the show! Such a beautiful setting and our dogs loved being able to run in the yard. We travelled from out of state so observing the weather and changing river levels was fascinating! We had lovely days when we spent time kayaking with the provided gear and loved sitting on the dock watching the wildlife too. Because we were there for 14 days, we took a weekend side trip to Wilmington and the ocean beaches which was also fun. We also attended a Friday night concert at the waterfront park in New Bern. We ate dinner in Oriental at Silos and Toucan Grill and enjoyed ice cream at The Bean. The Piggly Wiggly grocery story had everything we needed, and Food Lion was just a bit further away. I highly recommend this property!

Excellent vacation home. Beautiful settings. Family friendly and tons of fun. Everyone should experience relaxing like this.

Our stay at the Cast Away was exactly as described; A Water Front Getaway! The house was perfect and the dock was enjoyed both day and night. We loved walking around Oriental's docks and neighborhoods.

We just returned, and it was everything that we imagined and wanted we arrived to blue crabs in the crab pot (Which by the way is already in the water hanging off the dock). My son caught fish every single day! The kayaking was so Peaceful. We loved the little town and even took the ferry down to the crystal coast and saw the wild horses. My favorite place was Screened in porch with the beautiful breeze, wind, chimes chirping, birds, and smell of the saltwater.
