Casablanca - Captiva Island Village home with pool just two homes from the sand

First of all we were disappointed on entering the house as the photos were inaccurate. Instead of light and bright colours and furnishings in the living room, the sofas were darker and uncomfortable. I appreciate there’s been a hurricane but the house could do with some tlc. The dishwasher didn’t clean well, the blinds were broken, the valances on some beds were badly torn, carpets could do with a clean etc. upstairs shower in double room wasn’t very good, however, beach towels and bathroom towels were great as was the washer and dryer. The house is huge, and the upstairs bedrooms gorgeous. The pool, although smallish, was a huge hit. It’s under the house so our little ones didn’t need sunscreen continually. The seating area was nice and flexible. Barbecue worked well. The walk to the beach is just a few minutes and along the beach to the Mucky Duck is just 5 minutes. We had a problem with the aircon which was a blockage and sorted after 24 hours. The Wi-Fi was a constant pain and never resolved by Dream Vacations. We loved the convenient location, but feel the house is let down by small things mentioned and some paintwork.

We’ve been going to Captiva for over 20 years and have stayed in a different rental every time. We’ve finally found a house that we all loved! Close to the beach and village, immaculate, and great communication with the management. We will stay here from now on!!!

The location is wonderful... The house needs a little TLC. Some paint and pressure washing will go a long way. The pool area needs some attention. Kitchen supplies need to be improved. I realize they are still recovering from Ian, maybe finish all repairs before renting again. But the location you can't ask for more.

Very nice house with tons of room super close to the beach and everything else in Captiva. We had everything we needed. Captiva was busy with workers restoring damage from Hurricane Ian, which is a positive sign. The beaches are in great condition. We would love to stay here again.

This was our first stay on Captiva Island and the vacation was a great recharge for the family. Casablanca was an easy walk to the beach and everything was neat and clean upon arrival. Only issue we had was a water filter needing changed on the refrigerator, which the property manager sent via Amazon overnight and had installed. Great overall!

Everyone was really nice. The texting feature was amazing and quick - loved that.

Property was as advertised. Very spacious and enough for two families (4 adults) with 5 children under the age of five. We probably could have squeezed in two more adults or a few more children. The pool area and jacuzzi underneath the house was a nice bonus and a great place to congregate after a day at the beach. The beach is a short walk (~3 minutes) or 4 houses down from the beach so it made it easy to run back to the house if you forgot something. The location is nearby a number of restaurants which are a 10 minute walk or a short golf cart ride.

This was our best family vacation ever. We will be back to Casablanca !
