In the extreme south-east of Italy, in Salento, in the middle of a green oasis away from the tourist crowds, in the town of San Vito dei Normanni between Bari and Brindisi. Nestled between olive trees, palm trees and blooming oleanders, those seeking tranquility have found their real home here in a true green oasis.

Our vacation home belongs to the municipality of San Vito dei Normanni. Casa Nidolino is a detached, alarm-protected house with 115 m² of living space, 1,800 m² of fenced property, terrace with a great garden kitchen and a flat roof with a roof terrace. So you enjoy absolute peace and privacy! 4 people can be accommodated in 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 dining room, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom.

It was completely renovated in 2007 and 2017. Brindisi Airport is around half an hour's drive away, the beautiful city of Bari and the airport there are around 1½ hours away by car. Are you interested in a small and cheap rental car, such as B. a Fiat 500 Cinquecento Talk to me! We would also be happy to arrange your airport transfer on arrival and departure.

LIVING AREA & GARDEN

Casa Nidolino has 2 bedrooms with double beds and seating and can therefore accommodate 4 people. An extra bed for small children is possible. You also have a fully equipped kitchen, an inviting dining room, a cozy living room and a modern bathroom with bidet. A washer and dryer are also available.

Start the sunny day with a delicious breakfast on the partially covered terrace. Embedded in a beautiful and green outdoor area, our large garden kitchen is an absolute highlight! Here you can prepare delicious delicacies and spend a romantic evening with your loved ones. A BBQ, gas stove, pizza oven, sink and a TV connection are available. Outside you will also find a separate shower with hot and cold water, as well as a separate bathroom with toilet and sink. Equipped with central heating, pellet stove and air conditioning, the house is suitable for rental all year round - summer as well as winter.

EQUIPMENT & SERVICE

Casa Nidolino offers you numerous amenities for an unforgettable and pleasant holiday. The house is fully equipped. Towels, hair dryer and bed linen are provided. All you have to do is enjoy your vacation. After your departure, the house will be cleaned by our staff, as well as towels and bed linen. In the kitchen you will also find pots, pans, dishes, cooking utensils, cutlery, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, tea towels and an iron / ironing board.

You can park safely in the private parking lot in front of the house.

LOCATION & DISTANCE

Casa Nidolino belongs to the town of San Vito dei Normanni, a small Salentine municipality, about 9 km from the Adriatic coast and has a lot to offer in terms of culture and cuisine. In addition to the medieval old town with its churches, it offers a weekly market with typical regional products such as cheese, olives or pasta.

Distance to Brindisi airport about half an hour by car, to Bari you need about 1½ hours. Shops, supermarkets, doctors or an ATM can be found in the nearest San Vito die Normanni (just a few minutes by car). It is about 6 km to the beach / sea.

CLIMATE & TRAVEL TIME

Puglia is warm and sunny in spring with temperatures in April of 20 ° C. Summer lasts from May to the end of September, with 30 ° C and more reaching in July and August. Rain is hardly known in Puglia, the sea gets wonderfully warm up to 25 ° C. It stays warm until autumn, and only in December does the temperature drop below 20 ° C. The winter months remain mild with temperatures between 12 ° C and 15 ° C, but it can rain here and there.

We had a great week here and thoroughly enjoyed the spaciousness and amenities of the home and its grounds. Its central location is excellent for exploring all of Puglia and it is a short drive to a good highway for that exploring. Lucia was a great hostess!

Had an amazing stay at Casa Nidolino. The house is equipped to a high standard and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. Loved using the outdoor kitchen with bbq, pizza oven & hob. It was a good location to visit many of the puglian sights and some local beaches. You do need a car.

My wife and I wanted a longer holiday in Puglia, an area which we had not previously explored. Casa Nidolino perfectly met our needs. It is set in a beautiful garden and has its own small olive grove. It is an attractive well laid out home and is both tastefully appointed and well equipped. The neighbourhood provided many interesting walks through oil groves. Its central location permitted easy drives to historic towns and visits to the coast. Finally, the support provided by both the owner and the local caretaker was highly responsive and made our stay most enjoyable.

Stayed for two weeks in this cosy house in the countryside. Due to the location, it is peaceful and quiet although San Vito dei Normanni is very close for shopping. The house was clean and also smelled nice and clean. The beds were comfy with good quality mattresses in bedrooms of good size. The kitchen was very well equipped with equipment and utensils. The best part of this property is the outside or summer kitchen. Pizza oven, barbecue area and gas stove, Paradise as far as we were concerned. We enjoyed all of our evening meals there. Even though the neighbours that met us could not speak English, we were greeted with smiles and by two very friendly people. (We use a translation app to communicate and that worked well). Take note that the TV channels were also only in Italian. It did not bother us at all, as we were outside most of the time . We also found the owner a very helpful person. We can’t give this place any higher recommendation than stating we would like to return to repeat a most enjoyable stay.

Smooth check in process and very helpful property manager. Property was well-equipped, quiet / private, and easy access to San Vito (3 x supermarkets 5 mins away by car) and roads North, South and to the coast / motorway. I've started at a number of rental properties in those part of Puglia and overall this was the best.

Perfect location to visit the region between Bari and the coast (St Maria di Leuca); close to the coast and the SS16 road. Clean, functional and well equipped; just like the pictures. The only thing we missed a bit was more comfortable garden furniture. Thank you for the nice vacation!
