Stayed Mar 21, 2026Everything you need to visit the Charleston area and save a little money on lodging and meals. Good grocery store about a mile away, bus stop a block and a half that will take you downtown without any transfers, quiet neighborhood other than the aircraft coming in to the airport that’s 30 minutes away by bus. Well stocked cabinet of seasonings, and everything you need to take a shower or do laundry. Backyard was a great place to hang out in the mornings and evenings. TV had all the apps we needed to sign in for shows. Communication with the host was flawless and immediate. Six stars if I would have had that option!

Stayed Apr 6, 2026We loved the little blue house for our week stay. The location worked for us. It was 15 minutes or less to get to any where we needed to go, including Walmart, the grocery store, playgrounds, the children's museum, and aquarium. Great place for those traveling with children. My 3 year old loved playing with all the toys and swinging on the swing in the backyard. Some parts could use some love, but everything was functional and the hosts were great.

Stayed Mar 13, 2026Phenomenal host! They were wonderful to communicate with. Home was in a perfect location for us close to shipyard where we played baseball. Away from heavy traffic, but still only a 15 minute drive to the city. Quiet, calm neighborhood.

Stayed Jul 30, 2025Overall the stay was pretty good. It was a little disappointing to arrive at the home to realize the property had been listed incorrectly. In the listing it said there were 6 beds kid a pull out sofa. However there were actually only 4 beds. The sofa isn’t really a sofa bed it’s more of an ottoman that pulls out of the couch and there wasn’t bedding available for it. The owner did stop by to get the bedding for it the next day, but it was frustrating that we didn’t have the accommodations we thought were there. Overall they had a lot of nice touches. Well stocked home. Felt comfortable and safe. The beach towels and chairs were a great extra we appreciated! The bedroom setup is a little rough. The only queen bed is in an attached room to a double and a twin. It would be much better if the queen bed was in the bedroom by itself. The bed itself was fairly comfortable, but the frame is squeaky and old. Every time you move at all it’s so loud. If you have sensitivities to synthetic fragrances you may want to ask them to remove the plugins before arriving. They were overwhelmingly strong.

Stayed Jun 9, 2025When we arrived, we immediately noticed issues with the house. The top of the list being the microwave had a broken handle with an exposed screw poking out! The front door did not stay shut without locking it. The front gate hinge was bent when we arrived and gate was very difficult to open/close; did not lock. Not to mention, BARE minimum amenities offered (for instance, the only pan available for use on stovetop was scratched and old!). Newly renovated is very misleading and not accurate.

Stayed May 18, 2025It was a great stay and in a area where being able to get to places want a hassle. Loved the coziness feeling of the house as a whole.

Stayed Nov 27, 2024The house was cute & clean. Easy check-in, allowed to do so early, beds very comfortable & lots of towels/etc. The layout was open & airy. Great back yard; bring some old shoes as the yard is mostly dirt (feet got super dirty 1st day). The porch & rocking chairs, great! We had 2 ISSUES. The host was VERY quick to respond which is great but “solutions” inadequate… 1) kitchen faucet was a trickle. Michael replied he’d have to look into it. No one came out to look at it- I tried the valves under the sink w/no luck. Had to wash all thanksgiving dishes by hand because the dishwasher then didn’t work due to the water pressure- all other H2O pressure was good. 2) Thursday night/Friday, it got cold; the furnace didn’t work. Michael sent out a maintenance couple: the man couldn’t understand English & his wife could barely understand/speak it to translate to her husband. The couple wound up turning back on the thermostat - DIDN’T CHECK THE FURNACE UNIT, and going to the backyard shed to bring us 2 small space heaters. It was about 65 in the house for the remainder of our stay. I feel the furnace should have been checked prior to our arrival since it’s the first Charleston cold snap. Some other suggestions: grown-up games/cards, scissors, more sturdy backyard furniture, new fire pit (bottom is mostly rusted out). Since it’s a new listing hopefully there will be some improvements. The area is Dorchester and rough at this time.
