The Space:
Casa del Sol is one of our timeless charmers. It was recently renovated with all new furnishings and the addition of a new, 30 ft private pool with a spacious pool terrace for lounging and dining. This comfortably furnished and equipped 2 bedroom /1 bathroom bungalow is historically landmarked and sleeps 5 guests comfortably (including a sofa bed in the Front Room / Florida Room).

The house is located on one of the quietest streets in the Grandview Heights Historic District, 10 minutes walking distance to the West Palm Beach Arts & Entertainment District with restaurants, shops, bars, street cafes, boutiques, museums, theaters and more.

Amenities include: Central air and heat; a fully equipped kitchen w/ coffee maker, microwave, blender, cookware, etc; cable television; high speed internet access; bed linens/bath towels; washer/dryer; hair dryer; iron/board; cell phone w/ unlimited local calls on request; private fenced backyard; outdoor grill; outdoor seating; beach towels.

Pet Policy:
This home welcomes one well-behaved dog or cat (under 50 lbs). After your booking, you'll be asked to confirm your furry friend’s details and submit the one-time $200 pet fee + taxes. Please note that only one pet is permitted per stay. Feel free to ask any questions you may have ahead of time about our pet policy.

Security Hold or Damage Waiver:
This home requires an additional refundable security deposit of $500, which will be a hold placed on your credit card at check-in and released within 2 days after check-out and our standard inspection. Alternatively, guests may opt to pay a non-refundable damage waiver of $50 instead.

Age Requirement:
The primary guest must be at least 21 years old and staying for the duration of the reservation.

House Rules:
Thanks for treating this home like your own - no parties, events, or receptions are allowed. Smoking is not permitted at this property.

Pool Heat:
Pool heating is available during the winter months for an additional $20 per day. After booking, you’ll have the opportunity to confirm if you'd like this added to your reservation and submit payment.

The famous island of Palm Beach with its popular points of interest (Worth Avenue, Flagler Museum, Breakers Resort) are also 5 - 10 minutes driving distance.

    Don't hesitate. Close in to downtown - easy to walk. Quiet neighborhood. Great private pool.

    Walked to dinner at two great restaurants nearby. Loved the bungalows in this historic area. The private pool made you feel like you were def on vacation and m you didn’t even need to leave the property. Apparently there’s a new TV set up so some additional info could be provided as we found it a little difficult to stream sports and shows we were interested in.

    First a brief preface… It was late afternoon on 6/13 - the last day of the ‘June Monsoon’ - when we arrived at our reserved property (pictured above) We were greeted by an apologetic rep from the property managers (Marco maybe?) and the AC repair man decked out in full foul weather gear. The AC had gone on the fritz earlier in the day & we soon realized that it wasn’t going to be repaired any time soon. Subsequently, we were offered an alternate property just down the street @ 717 Penn St. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise as it was a definite upgrade. After settling in to our new digs we both agreed that this would be our address whenever we’re in WPB (we have friends & family in the area). The 2 bedroom/2 bath bungalow is very comfortable, tastefully decorated, and well provisioned w all the necessities & amenities. And then there’s the pool.. ahhh… perfect size & temp and surrounded with lush landscaping for complete privacy. We found this to be the total package for a centrally located piece of tranquil luxury. We’ll be back! p.s. I ‘d be remiss not to give a shout out to Peter & the crew @ Palm Beach Vaca Rentals. They were most accommodating & a pleasure to deal with!

    Had a nice respite at historic Casa del Sol. Well appointed, clean, quiet and beautiful pool. Short drive into PB. Host called us on Easter Sunday since we arrived late the night before. Very thoughtful. Would consider booking again.

    We were traveling to see family in West Palm Beach with my 20 year old daughter. It was wonderful to have individual rooms for privacy/working and also our own pool in the backyard. The historic neighborhood is beautiful and a feast for the eyes of those who enjoy architecture. Our gem has been lovingly renovated with new amenities that doesn't negate the historic charm. I recommend reading up about the historic Flamingo Park and all the nearby lavish and homey things to do. We would absolutely stay here again! Thank you.

    The house was in a location that was easy to get downtown, to use as a centralized location for the restaurants, attractions, grocery shopping, and pleasure shopping, as well as close to parks and other points of interest. It was nice being greeted by real person and having a real phone number as a contact if we needed him. If you are considering cooking, all of the cookware and appliances you need should be available. Example, good toaster, crock pot, blender, and pots and pans as well as a 4 burner gas stove. Don't bank on any counter space for preparation. The pool was spotless and just cleaned when we arrived. It was very enjoyable especially with the beautiful tropical back yard. Linens on the bed were clean and fresh, bathroom was clean. Bathtub is an outdated jetted tub, but it's in good condition. We don't know if the jets work because we only use the shower. Shower head needs attention with some hard water scale remover because the pours are somewhat blocked and scattering the spray, but I've seen worse. We had a small dog and the fenced back yard worked well. We walked around the neighborhood without any concern for safety. The neighborhood is mixed with old, renovated homes and some that are in disrepair, however; it's all being improved and overall is good now. In fact, we don't think we would want to spend as much as it might take to buy in the neighborhood because Zillow shows values of most homes over $500K to over $2 Million. Good Neighborhood!

    We really enjoyed this house and it was very comfortable and the pool is great! It’s very close to a lot of things (a few minutes drive) and a nice neighborhood to walk
