Casa Carlouel on north Clearwater Beach - steps from the beach!.

We enjoyed our stay! The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood and a short walk to the beach. There was plenty of room for family to stay and work from home when needed. We really liked that the house had many beach items we could use. The only thing the house didn't come with that we would have liked was a grill. Curt and Joanie both responded quickly to any issues that came up. The hot tub was nice, but needed to be cleaned more frequently. Overall, it was a great home for a vacation!

- Internet: Streaming was great (50MBPS always) but upload speed was terrible (.5MBPS) making video conferencing and data calls choppy. Owner was made aware of the issue several times but could figure out no solution with the internet provider.

We rented from Curt for Jan 1-March 5. We enjoyed the location and the home so much. The home is located in a lovely neighborhood which was quiet and within 4 blocks of North Clearwater Beach. We watched sunset almost each night and loved it. The home is well taken care of and the furnishings make it very homey. Curt replied immediately to all requests and questions we had. The kitchen was well stocked and ready for our longer stay. The linen closet was also well stocked - also appreciated the beach toys! The back patio was nice too and the hot tub was small but, great for our little family. Outdoor shower was also handy! We would love to return again!

We really enjoyed this property. Hot tub and close walks to the beach made it lots of fun. Would do again!

If you want to stay in Clearwater Beach, with easy walk to beautiful beach on Gulf of Mexico, this is the place!! The sunsets were spectacular! Easy walk (a bit over a mile) to downtown shops, restaurants and bars! Accommodations were great! Hardly any traffic on Carlouel neighborhood streets, quick 100' walk to watch the sunrise, and boats and dolphins frolic near the sea wall. Owner and property manager were quick to answer questions. They had plenty of towels, beach chairs and coolers to use. We rented for the month while looking for homes. Great jacuzzi and yard! Galley kitchen was perfect for our needs. Thank you!

PROS: GREAT location - 200 yards to bay towards left, 3 short blocks to beach to the right, and a little over a mile to the downtown area. Super quiet and safe neighborhood. Spacious, comfortable, well set up for working from home, well maintained property, has everything you need for comfy stay. Landlord was responsive to requests re: issues (e.g., we had almost no silverware, so he did purchase more) CONS: The place is just kind of tired and needs updating - it isn't bad, just isn't great because lots of things in the house are older. Kitchen was probably main place it affected living there - no dishwasher, small, etc. I would stay there again - but if having everything shiny and new is your thing you might not be happy here. If you don't care as much about that kind of stuff, it has many benefits. -
