Neighborhood Description:
Enjoy daily walks up and down to the bayfront Malecón and visit all the local eateries, bars, galleries, and shops in the neighborhood. Evening strolls are a must to take advantage of the cool breezes that come after sunset and feel the vibrant night culture...and speaking of those sunsets, they are stunning so we highly recommend taking them in with a cold cerveza in hand from a rooftop terraza along the Malecón. La Paz is a progressive town with something for everyone. From established restaurants, bakeries, and retailers, to new cafes, bars, and craft breweries. Many of these establishments cater to people with dietary restrictions and preferences, and there are several small health food markets in the neighborhood too. With unique food offerings, crafts, and arts, our weekly markets pop up in various places downtown. We encourage you to patronize our local businesses and support the talent and creativity found in so many of them.

A very comfortable property in the heart of everything. We could easily walk to the square and the malecon. There are many great restaurants in the area. Our host Victoria was amazing. With a simple note to her she is ready to assist with anything needed including area tips. We loved our visit to La Paz and this property was a big part of that.

Absolutely lovely stay! The home is super spacious, kitchen was stocked with everything I could need to cook, and beds and pillows were comfy. Victoria and Ricky were wonderful hosts! Incredible responsive to any general questions I had about the home and things to do around La Paz. I felt super safe in the home and neighborhood as a solo traveler and can definitely recommend it to anyone visiting as a central home base! Can’t wait to visit again.

We had a great stay at sweet Casa Beluga. The home was very clean, comfortable and well situated for exploring La Paz. Although we only cooked breakfast, the kitchen has all the necessities for cooking. The house is about a 10 minute walk from the Malecon and many restaurants and shops. The owners live offsite, but were very responsive and helpful when needed. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

This home was the perfect way to spend our time in La Paz. It was easy to find, and we appreciated the cool AC upon our arrival. The home had all the amenities we needed for our week. We especially appreciated the drinks that were in the refrigerator :) The location was great, we were able to walk to the Malecón and to a variety of restaurants, grocery stores and shops. We highly recommend!

We are grateful for the Casa Beluga delightful home that provided our family with a cozy retreat, while allowing us to soak in all the wonders of La Paz. The decor, adorned with marine wildlife, beautifully reflects the local surroundings. We cannot thank Victoria enough for her incredible warmth and graciousness, both before and during our stay—truly deserving of a 100-star rating!Sitting in the courtyard, surrounded by blooming paper flowers that symbolize peace, was a calming experience. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, ensuring a restful night's sleep despite the days. We awoke to the enticing aroma of coffee, a welcome perk after a night by the Sea of Cortez. The home also offers all the amenities needed for cooking and unwinding as we began our day.We were especially grateful to Victoria for her fantastic recommendations tailored to our outdoor-loving family, including the amazing grocery store, Chedraui, which met all our needs and offered delicious bakery treats. The availability of reusable shopping bags was a thoughtful touch that made our stay even better. The short, safe walk to the Malecón de La Paz was an enjoyable experience filled with vibrant sights. There, we indulged in delicious food, rented scooters, shopped, savored sweet treats, and immersed ourselves in the rich Mexican culture we cherish. Our time at Cafe Beluga was nothing short of wonderful, and we wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone and anyone looking for a fantastic stay!

We were thrilled with Casa Beluga. Enjoyed the indoor and outdoor spaces, including great air con in the bedrooms. The marine life art is delightful. Location is walking distance to everything we wanted to explore in La Paz. (Worth checking out the history museum a block away.) Victoria and Ricky were super communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. Happily recommend and would stay there again.

We truly enjoyed staying at a local place. We have been coming to La Paz for years and wanting to stay off the beach and tourist area. Victoria has thought of everything and the home is very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The neighborhood is safe and we enjoyed the short walk to the centro both early morning and late night.

This house suited our family of 4 perfectly. Our adult daughters shared the master bedroom, using both the big and twin beds. Worked out great. Everything functioned as it should (i.e., bathrooms, air conditioners, etc.). Convenient location for walking to shops, museum, the Malecon, but quiet and residential block. It was nice to have use of the private, secure parking as well.Victoria provided helpful responses to our questions, including a list of favorite beaches. Overall, a nice place to stay if you want to visit LaPaz.

It took a while for me to find an appropriate theme for this review of Casa Beluga, but I have it now. “Thoughtful.” Victoria and Ricky, the owners, were thoughtful in many ways. They purchased a house in a wonderful location. In fifteen minutes, I could walk to the cathedral; five minutes more and I was on the malecon. Within three blocks was a pharmacy, convenience store, bakery, fruit and vegetable stand, grocery store, hardware store, and restaurants. There is art in every room, thoughtfully-placed and thematic. And there are enough pots, pans, dishes, utensils, silverware, and glasses for major meal preparation and serving. The house is kept clean and in good condition.Against the white walls and floor, there are pops of color in just the right amount and location.Victoria and Ricky thought of many small ways to make the stay comfortable, from the clarity of the check-in and check-out instructions to leaving shopping bags for our use, from putting a clothesline in the backyard to acquiring a functional and unique work desk, from leaving purified water in the refrigerator to recommending restaurants. The owners’ thoughtfulness began long before we arrived as they promptly responded to our questions about being in La Paz. They continued that buen amistad during our month-long stay at Casa Beluga.Yes, thoughtful. That’s the right word.

The home is very charming and walking distance to the center and famous Malecon. The A/C worked great in the bedrooms. The bedrooms were spacious with lots of closet space. There is also a large size pharmacy and Oxxo grocery store around the corner. The owners were really great. I had requested advance purchases of food and drinks. It was all there upon our arrival. The owners were very quick to respond with any questions. The home was decorated very nice and the kitchen was fantastic and fully equipped. The porch is so beautiful with a bougainvillea tree that was constantly full of birds and butterflies. It definitely is a YES!

I came to La Paz on a girls trip. We loved this home. The owners are very easy to get a hold of and very generous (they left us water in the fridge to help us stay hydrated)! The home is clean and easy to navigate. The house is a good 30 minute drive from the beaches we wanted to visit (texalote?), but thankfully the taxi drivers are super friendly and drove us to our destination. This home is close to “el centro” which is safe and has a few beautiful restaurants (Nemi was our favorite). You won’t regret staying at this great home!
