I will start with the positives: The interior of the home is quite lovely. The bed and the pillows were super comfortable and we slept so well! The view speaks for itself. Unfortunately the rest of the home, mainly the exterior, is in dire need of upkeep and maintenance. The hot tub shown in the listing has been replaced with a new one that is now in a side yard, with no lighting making it impossible to use after sun down. The hot tub could only heat or run the jets on low without tripping the breaker so it basically felt like you were sitting in a large bathtub in the yard. Odd. The deck chairs were dirty and strewn about and none had cushions available for comfort. Just dirty metal chairs on the upper decks. There were no instructions for anything inside the home. The amenities were as bare bones as it gets. The shower head in the only bathroom upstairs was so loose from the wall we were afraid to adjust the water flow for fear of it falling off. There is a broken tub outside off the patio in the bathroom. No mention of it or its operational status when booking. Again, odd. We were asked to hand wash our dishes before leaving, which in turn meant the cleanliness of the dishes we were using was up to the guests before us. We have rented many vacation properties, and the stark difference between an owner being involved versus a rental company, is very obvious. The home was clean but did not feel inviting.

We had a relaxing stay and the property has incredible potential, but we would not stay here again. The Good: The property is extremely secluded, romantic, and the view is spectacular. It was clean upon arrival, and the hot tub was a wonderful feature for two (though it isn't level, so water spills out when you get in).The Issues:Maintenance: Generally, the property is poorly maintained. Both AC units blew black chunks (likely mold) onto the floor and didn’t cool well. The grill wouldn’t light, and the pool is unheated.Plumbing: The shower drain was mostly plugged, taking hours to empty. The kitchen sink had a funky smell, and the faucet barely reaches the sides of the basin.Storage: There is nowhere to hang or store clothes (no dressers or drawers) and nowhere to hang towels to dry. We had to live out of our suitcases.Tech: The TV is old with no streaming. Satellite service was poor all weather conditions, and the remote was mostly broken; we had to click through channels one by one as the guide and number buttons didn't work.A beautiful location, but the lack of basic functionality was disappointing.

Many past issues have been solved. Hot water was available on demand all 4 days. Housekeeping still a problem as there was hair in the shower stall. This was our 4th stay and we will do it again.

check in was so simple. the opening of the front gate took our breath away. it was like the stairway to heaven. front door opened up to a beautiful open concept with breath taking views on every side. going up the beautifully done stairway to the great bedroom which also took your breath away with the views. we wanted to grill and the propane tank was empty, called the host and was brought a fresh tank within an hour. it was our 20th wedding anniversary !! Thank you for making it as special as we knew it was .

We stayed at Casa Artista for a quick getaway and absolutely loved it. The listing was spot-on, and yet the experience exceeded our expectations. We used everything the property had to offer—from the pool and hot tub to the cozy indoor spaces and those endless views. It was peaceful, beautifully designed, and just what we needed.Every detail felt thoughtful and welcoming. Whether you’re looking for a romantic weekend or a restful retreat, this spot delivers. We gave it five stars across the board and would absolutely stay again!

Location is great, and the property has great potential, but the quality of maintenance was disappointing. Lower level floor was not very clean, and the pool needed vacuuming pretty badly. Pots and pans are in pretty poor shape, and the kitchen was lacking some basic stuff (cooking spray, paper towels, trash bags, food storage containers). The property could also use a TV upgrade with streaming capabilities. Had a great experience overall though. Bedroom, bathroom, and hot tub were all as expected, and the views are amazing!

This property is very quiet and isolated at the end of the road. It has a very nice view of sunsets and privacy. The inside has a West Texas feel to it. The walls are thick and keep it nice and cool on hot days.

This place was just exactly what I was looking for. Absolutely beautiful view facing right towards the sunset. The shower is placed right where the sunrises so you can enjoy a great shower with the warmth of the sun. My wife and I have three beautiful kids, two great jobs but we do live a busy life. So let it be known we are truly grateful for our lives but sometimes you just need some peace and quiet. I was able to just sit on the balcony and just enjoy the view and really soak in how amazing this world is. I would recommend a thousands times and I can't wait to visit again as long as we are welcome.

The place has a feel to it that takes you somewhere else. We were surprised we were still in Texas. The sunset was amazing, and we enjoyed all the little quirks of the place. We enjoyed the peace and quiet the property brought. Only complaint was not having a wine bottle opener, but if that is your only complaint it is definitely a 5-star property. Thanks for a great weekend.

Would be a great property if it were actually managed. None of the outdoor lighting had lightbulbs. Attempted to reach out to the management company and they didn’t believe me and demanded I come back to the property from Wimberley where we were walking shops to take pictures. While the property has satellite tv, it gets terrible signal and you can’t actually watch anything. No smart tv and very out dated. Nobody carries dvd’s or cd’s with them anymore. If you’re going to have these ancient items at least provide the movies and music that go along with it. Great property if you want to sit around and do absolutely nothing or only use amenities during the day as the outdoor lighting is non existent and is a huge safety hazard walking around at night. Really needs to be maintained as it just seems as though everything is bare minimum and ignored. Lighting on stairs didn’t work, no lighting in the shower. Amazing views and comfortable bed. With some love and care this could really be a great property to visit. As it sits now I’d recommend elsewhere. It’s also approximately 30-40 minutes from Wimberly.

We had an amazing time at this beautiful property and would highly recommend to others and re-book again. The sunsets and stars were postcard perfect and all the amenities were excellent. We were worried the infinity pool would be too warm this time of year, but it was very cool, clean and refreshing (assuming it is fed by well water). The two-person hot tub was also nice and easy to operate and ready for use upon arrival. I didn’t deduct from the rating, but it had apparently been shocked with chlorine the day we arrived. The chlorine odor was so strong it burned our noses and we had to get out after only a minute or two, shower, and let our noses regain their normal sense of smell the first night. Not scary or anything, rather more like what happens after sanitizing a shower with Clorox and it stings your nose and short circuits your sense of smell for a short time afterwards. We left the cover slightly askew to allow the chlorine and the resulting chlorine gas to dissipate and it was fine the next day. I would much rather it be too clean than dirty so it was a very minor inconvenience to an otherwise flawless experience. The only other thing worth mentioning that was again not a problem at all for us was that the only bathroom is on the 2nd floor and would likely be a deal-killer for anyone with a disability. The privacy and intimacy was off the charts and perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway. Too many positives to list them all and with every penny.

Upon arrival the outside of the property was as listed. Views for miles and miles. The overall place was great, very quiet, secluded, and for the most part updated. The floors in the kitchen had to be swept but other than that the house was clean. Comfortable bed and the AC worked great. Pool could have been vacuumed prior to our arrival but was by no means terribly dirty. The pool and hot tub were both amazing. You have to be very careful in with the shower due to water gets out on the floor. Overall this is a great place to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet.
