Lots of character in this house that is perfectly set up for friends or family members traveling together. Walkable to all the historical sites St. Augustine has to offer. We loved evenings on the upstairs balcony listening to the horse drawn carriages go by! We would definetly stay at this house again.

We three couples had a wonderful weekend at The Carriage House. The property is clean and well cared for, the beds are comfy, the walls are solid (with earplugs, I heard nothing of the rambunctious card game my family held in the upstairs dining room andslept soundly through it in the likewise upstairs bedroom), and the toiletries, paper goods, etc., are all of nice quality. Though St. Augustine is very busy this time of year, our street was quiet and removed from the crowds while still in walking distance of everything we wanted to do and see, and the onsite parking was a huge plus in this busy area of town. Suncoast Properties was very responsive and helpful; the morning of our departure, I called to clarify the check-out time, as the VRBO listing and emailed instructions differed. I was quickly connected to an operator who, in turn, had the property manager, Matt, call me right away. He immediately offered to honor the later check-out time and pleasantly inquired about our Nights of Lights weekend. That afternoon, I texted him to say one of our group left a necklace behind. He said he would ask the cleaners to keep an eye out for it. The next day, he texted to say it had indeed been found and let me know he would mail it directly. Fantastic customer service on the entire team's part. A wonderful stay all around...highly recommend!

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was terrible. The lovely property pictures do not reflect the reality. This property is tired, dingy, not kept up, with cold coming through the old windows and under the several entry doors, and the furnace didn't work. There were nblankets on the beds, just a thin cotton coverlet and we froze! The managers (Suncastle Properties) were not responsive the first day. the furnace didn't work and the manager accused us of not knowing how to adjust a thermostat. The managers finally fixed the furnace. The fence surrounding the property is falling down. Each room needs painting, including the trims. Electrical cords run under the bedroom wall to wall carpets = fire hazard.

Very quaint and cozy little place. The inside was clean, but the outside could use a little sprucing up and clean up. I would stay again as it was close to the Historical district.

The property was tired and musty smelling and in need of a total refresh. The furnace didn't work (we couldn't turn it on) and it was very cold - I slept in my winter coat to stay warm. We had no blankets, only a thin coverlet on each bed. The property manager didn't respond to our three desperate phone calls and emails on the day of arrival that we had no heat. The property info manual said they would respond to any issues withing 24-48 hours but call a certain number if it was a heating or plumbing issue. We did, to no avail. We were disconnected twice when on hold and couldn't leave a message until the third call. When James responded the following afternoon he mansplained that I didn't know how to work a furnace (of course I do), and then said that visitors can't expect bed blankets for times when the weather turns cold becuase those times are brief. There was not one blanket in the unit. Someone did come and fix the furnace the second evening and brought three blankets, one per bed. The windows aren't sealed, the property is in need of fresh paint in each room, the furniture in the living room is quite uncomfortable to sit on. The property fences are broken and falling down. The property is umkempt. My bed pillows were thin and smelled of body sweat. The two bathrooms are old and in need of updating. There are electrical cords/extention cords that were under the wall to wall carpeting - such a fire hazard. The only positive about the property was its location.

Stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend. It's a quirky, charming old house, and the location is wonderful - on a quiet street, with ample parking in the front, and easily walkable to downtown. One issue the wifi password emailed to us with other instructions was incorrect. We called, were told that the password given was the right one but that someone would call us back the next day. Never heard a word for the rest of the stay. However, we were able to locate the correct password on the modem. Just fyi for future renters, but the lack of communication was disappointing.
