Carolina Breeze 488: Nature lover's home, sound-front with great views, shared pool

Stay and home was good. Cookware was old and damaged, need to upgrade. Kitchen floor was sticky when we arrived. Very nice place to stay.

Clean rooms, pet friendly, close to beaches and great restaurants

This home is well located near public beach access, in a great walk-able neighborhood. We loved the sunsets from the elevated deck and being able to sit outside and see the sound and nature, not the back of another home. Our family enjoyed our stay and were happy to be able to bring our pups as well! Please note, part of the yard has small native cactus, which limited the outdoor access for the dogs, but the grassy side yard is sufficient. It was difficult to tell from the description, but as of the date of this review, the house does have all utensils and any other kitchenware needed for your stay. Although we loved having access to the pool table/ping-pong table, as others commented the paddles need to be replaced, as does the ping-pong net, and the pool sticks could use some chalk too. Parts of the home are somewhat dated but all appliances are newer, clean, and in great working order.

The house was in a great spot, within walking distance to the beach and bay, but the master bed sheets were stained, the kids bedroom closet had a rolled up wet carpet that smelled like urine, the second bedroom next to the kids had blonde hair in sheets and all comforters smelled bad, The floor mats in bathrooms were dirty, I spend the second day of my stay washing everything. There was a cockroach in the kids bathroom, also in balconies and by the main entrance outside. The tvs in bedrooms don’t work, and the fan in the room that had blonde hair in bed was noisy and could not be on, it was shaking that we didn’t feel safe having it on. Vacasa staff came right away to take the dirty carpet out of the kids closet, and unclogged the bathroom sink. Lamps in those bedrooms needed new light bulbs. I didn’t report the fan, roaches or tvs to the staff because I felt I wanted to enjoy rather than fix everything that didn’t work. The property management need to do a better job getting the house ready for guest, we did the cleaning during our stay and followed the steps for checking out, however I felt like there’s no one looking at these issues.

The location was great, staff was responsive, only wish I didn’t have to address so many issues.

Loved the view and location of the home. Very pleased with the response from VACASA when we couldn't get the air to work, all it was, was the breaker had kicked off and they were very helpful. We definitely would rent from VACASA again and love to rent this home again.

listing of property was not accurate did not enclose that there were many many steps and no access to beach. None both pools you went to gave us a hard time to swim because we had to be members. It was not that clean had to vacuum it really good so my one year-old kid get on the floor without putting stink bugs in his mouth. My main thing was numerous of things, not enclosed on listing too much money for no access to the beach no way to go to the pool without arguing that it was enclosed you could go. They say you’re not a member too much money. Nothing is closed. You have to drive out to get food etc and we had to drive 20 minutes out to have beach access

Overall the stay was nice. The house is beautiful! The cleaning staff could have done a better job prior to our arrival but I always bring cleaning supplies so I was able to clean the bathrooms, the dust off of the bed posts and the kitchen counters. The air fryer was filthy so maybe that can be on the check off list in the future to make sure that is clean. Also there was food in freezer from previous guests, unsure how far back. It was only ice cream but maybe that can also be on checkout list whilst cleaning. I left it in the freezer so maybe it can be removed before next guests arrive. I loved the location of the house which gave us 100% privacy. When we vacation there again this house will definitely be my choice to stay again.

The stay was good overall, but the customer service was FANTASTIC!

We have stayed in much better prepped houses. This one had sparse cookware, and the home layout was odd. Great house if you are just needing a shower and a place to sleep.

The views are beautiful and the privacy of the property is great!

The balcony view of the sound was awesome. Everything else was pretty underwhelming. The house was old and needs upkeep. There's not enough furniture and the existing furniture is old and gross.

This home was gorgeous. Pros: this home is very nice, spacious, and private which was a huge plus for us. The views were amazing. 10/10 sunset views over the sound. We were in awe. Beds were comfortable and over all we were satisfied with it. Cons: we did notice a few things that need improvement. I always bring my dog on trips with me. He only weighs five pounds so he doesn’t need a whole lot or make a lot of mess. And as a pet owner I am fully aware that the pet friendly homes I rent will have obvious signs of other pets having stayed there. Which is expected. However, they should rip out the carpet in this home. It’s very stained and tore up in a few places. And I believe a cat stayed in the house recently because there was a very strong cat urine smell on the second level of the home. This didn’t totally ruin our experience, however it was unpleasant. Honestly if they just took the carpet out it would help so much. And there are a lot of stairs, the main living shared area of the house is on the top floor which was a challenge for my 65 yo mother so that’s something others might need to be aware of. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. And i personally would recommend it to anyone who has pets and doesn’t mind the carpet just for the views alone.

The house has an amazing view of the ocean, it is very private and fun for the family. It is a 15 minutes walk from the beach and the nature is priceless!

The house is very well located and has great views. The house needs maintenance and several improvements to make it confortable.

Enjoed our stay.

This was a big home for our family of 5 with a dog. It was perfect for us. The teens loved the table that turned into a ping pong or pool table. We all loved the view with the big windows. It could be a little cleaner with rings around the bathtubs and dated ripped furniture and rugs, but for the view and location it was worth it!

Good location but a very well worn home in need of updates.

The house was amazing, spectacular view of the bay, neighborhood was nice...great place for a family vacation!
