Carmel Valley Peaceful & Serene Retreat with Pool & Hot Tub

We had a wonderful stay over Christmas. The hosts were welcoming and communicative with nice touches like fresh flowers on the table and logs for the fireplace. We were a three generation family group of ten and had enough room. We really enjoyed the local hiking trails. The pool was too cold to swim, but we enjoyed it as a cold plunge between hot tub rounds. The landscaping is gorgeous. We had some rain/wind so did not hang out around the pool but in better weather, we would have spent a lot of our time in the yard.

Beautiful property, laid out very nicely for multiple families! Well stocked kitchen. Host was very responsive. We enjoyed our stay.

Carmel Valley Retreat was a slice of heaven. The pool is the soul of the property. Visiting Carmel and Monterey was a scenic 20 minute drive. I would rebook this property if needing a place in the area. The kitchen was well equipped.our group of 7 were very comfortable.

Coming from a life-long residency in the Northeast, I was genuinely excited to see Cali architecture and landscaping. It's probably run-of-the-mill to native Californians, but the succulents, the oversize bonsai tree, the cacti - it was all very cool. The house itself was perfect for the nine members of our party. Well-stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, very enjoyable pool and hot tub. The number of rules and 'restrictions' regarding water use was a bit disconcerting, but I guess that's the tradeoff you make when you live in that part of the country. All in all, it was a great stay.

Property is nicely located close to activities,

The house exceeded our expectations. It was well laid out, well equipped and very comfortable. The pool was very cool and the hot tub was a real plus. Carmel Valley is a beautiful and quaint town with great food, great access to hiking and a really nice vibe. We were in town for a family wedding and to a person, all our adult children said it felt like a real family vacation, and the house gets a lot of the credit.

This was a great location for a three-generation family gathering during spring break. While it was too cool to use the swimming pool, the spa was inviting, and the outdoor patio was comfortable and relaxing. Grounds are really gorgeous!The kitchen is well-appointed, so we enjoyed cooking in. Nights of games, cards, puzzles added to our fun. The common areas were perfect for eight-ten people, and bedrooms were warm and private. Trips to the coast, nearby Garland Park, The Aquarium in Monterey, and Carmel offered plenty of daytime activities. I can’t imagine a better place to spend a week.Our host answered all questions promptly and thoroughly. The information book was the best I’ve seen all my vrbo experiences!

We enjoyed our vacation at this beautiful home. Relaxing and zen property. The area has lots of shopping and wine tastings. Loved it

This is a very nice house with plenty of space for family. The owner let us come in early and it was appreciated. Note: no fence around pool. Kitchen well equipped. It is old but has everything you need

Absolutely enjoyed this beautiful and peaceful spot. Outdoor pool area was very enjoyable. House and beds were clean and very comfortable. Pictures on vrbo don’t do this place justice.

Stayed there while visiting pebble car show. Chuck was brilliant with the booking and helped me with any questions.

Such a lovely week! We loved the pool and it was a beautiful property inside and out.

Our group of 10 enjoyed our stay. Pool was awesome and got lots of use. We had everything we needed for our stay. Communication with host was great. Cons: Air conditioner in main house doesn’t cool house on a hot day and no air conditioner in guest house. We did have an issue with spiders and insects and could not leave doors open in evening to help cool house.

This was our annual girls trip, the property was amazing annd very relaxing. We all enjoyed our stay.
