Stayed Apr 4, 2026This was a perfect escape. The minute you walk thru the cottage gate you are transported to a place of serenity and solitude. The garden patio area is divine. We enjoyed sitting out looking over the evergreen canyon while watching an array of birds flutter through. Anna’s hummingbirds, Acorn woodpeckers, Pacific wrens, California scrub jays, Stellar’s jays, and barn swallows were daily visitors. Sitting out at night was equally spectacular. Sitting by the fire pit stargazing while being serenaded by a great horned owl. It was truly magical. It’s hard to grasp how close you are to town when you see black tailed deer and California quail on your drive on the street to the house. Everything inside of the house is neatly arranged and clean. The kitchen is very well stocked with most everything you need to make meals. The furniture is comfortable and everything is in working order. The view from the kitchen/living space is stunning and having floor to ceiling wall to wall glass sliders truly opens up the space. This house is quiet, charming and perfect for anyone wanting an escape.

Stayed Jan 10, 2026Stunning property! Pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s feels incredibly private, quiet and peaceful. Fantastic place to relax. My husband and I slept like babies, which doesn’t usually happen when we travel. Will absolutely be coming back here again soon!

Stayed Aug 12, 2025A lovely property with a stunning view! The house is well appointed and the hosts have thought of everything! It is in a central location, quiet, and easy to get to down town Monterey and Carmel. The hosts are very attentive and kind. We thoroughly enjoyed our time staying here.
