Carlson Cabin - Payette River Views and Access - Fishing - Private Wooded Setting - Pet Friendly

This was a great cabin! Two bedrooms, loft upstairs and living space. The view of the river was really special. We had a great time on our Christmas getaway.

This property was exactly what we needed. It was clean and cozy and had everything we needed. We loved the view of the river below and the fireplace kept everything cozy and comfy. Definitely recommend staying here and will do so again next time we visit.

This was a gorgeous setting. The house was very clean. well supplied, good neighborhood, very close to downtown. The only downside was I didn’t realize how steep and rugged the back of property was (down to river) and that it had no yard really. If it was just us older ones no problem; just made it harder for the 4 year old. If you do not have young ones, and are in good enough shape to hike down to the river, this property is so beautiful. I am 63 and could do it with a breather stop. Teenagers would love this place and could zip up and down the hill. The setting and view of the woods and river are amazing. Loved the deck, that overlooked it all.

It’s been many years that all four of. Us have been together. Fun was had every day. Location and time of year was spot on. Most likely will book again before end of year. Lots of pictures and memories made at this slice of paradise! Thank you for making this trip ever.

From the moment we pulled up, we knew this cabin was something special. Tucked away in nature but still accessible, it offered the perfect mix of peaceful seclusion and cozy comfort. Every detail was thoughtfully curated—from the sparkling clean interior to the fully stocked kitchen and dreamy beds that made it nearly impossible to get up in the morning (in the best way).We spent our evenings gathered around the living room and our mornings sipping coffee on the porch, wrapped in a blanket with nothing but the sound of birds around us. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it feel like a true home away from home.Whether you’re looking for a quiet retreat, a romantic weekend, or just a reset from everyday chaos—this cabin delivers. We left feeling refreshed, reconnected, and already planning our next stay. Highly recommend to anyone craving that perfect cabin experience!

We had a wonderful stay. The house has beautiful views of the river and surrounding trees. Such a peaceful and quiet area. The house was very clean and the main living area is very open and spacious.

My family and I have a tradition of taking a yearly trip from the south to a place where we can find Snow. This year, we decided to go to Idaho and stumbled upon this adorable little cabin. It was located in a great spot, easy to reach, with plenty of food options and a fun downtown area. Plus, it was super close to two different ski slopes. The whole family had an absolute blast and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We’re definitely coming back again in the future!

Clean, comfy and well appointed in a beautiful setting.

The cabin was exactly how the description presented it. It was super clean, well appointed and the perfect size for our group of 7! The kitchen provided all of the tools and equipment needed to prepare meals. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious enough. The fireplace was super cozy and the outdoor gas fire pit made for fun evenings. This is probably the best, most efficient and most easy to work with property management company that I have encountered while renting through VRBO. Most importantly, the location is beautiful and perfect! Highly recommend visiting Burgdorf Hot Springs while staying in McCall! We will definitely be back!

My wife and I traveled here from Texas. Such an awesome little house with GREAT river access to walk down and fish or just relax. It's a very short drive to town, and the garage parking was a plus! Would definitely book this place again.

Lovely place to sit on the deck with a fire, among the tall pine trees, while listening to the rolling river!

Pro's: Great location and view, antiquate stocked kitchen and baths. Con's: Carpet and throw rugs were disgusting and should be replaced. Patio/furniture was not cleaned off of bird poo or swept off before our arrival. We were left with three empty propane bottles but after a phone call to management they came during the day with replacements.

Five stars! We had a great time.

This property served our group well- 4 adults. The listing says it sleeps 8 but you would have a hard time fitting that many people into the cabin comfortably, the living space is smaller than it appears on the photos. Also, the listing does not accurately describe the upstairs shower. Anyone 6 feet or taller is going to have a hard time fitting in it. The garage and pull-through drive way was perfect for maneuvering and storing our fishing boat! Overall a comfortable stay for our trip.
