Stayed Sep 30, 2025A perfect stay. Everything as advertised. Our only complaint is we like to complain and there was nothing to complain about. The property management company was exceptional, so friendly and prompt. Hector is the most friendly cat I’ve ever met. Because we love cats, we hang out with him a lot in the house and we all really enjoyed each other’s company. If you do the same, make sure you leave some water for him, he will really appreciate it.

Stayed Mar 12, 2024Lovely house, decorated with taste, in a quiet and safe neighborhood, surronded by nature and at 5-min walking to Playa Negra and 5-min by car to Puerto Viejo center, super markets, restaurants, etc. Drinking water is provided, with plenty of towels for shower and beach, bikes to explore the surrondings, beach chairs and all the necessary items for the kitchen. Beds and bedding are really confortable. The A/C in the master bedroom helps perfectly refreshing with the fans available in the 2 rooms and living room. The porch is a beautiful place to spend an evening with the 2 big chairs and hammock. We stayed 1 week, after 6 weeks in other regions of Costa Rica and we really loved the place. Thank you for the very nice welcome gifts and for everything.

Stayed Aug 30, 2024Our family of 4 stayed here comfortably for 4 weeks. We liked being away from the center of town yet super close to the ocean - we practically had the local Playa Negra beach to ourselves. The kitchen was well equipped, loved using the boogie boards, and appreciated the multiple house fans to supplement the AC (in one bedroom). The property manager was always quick to respond whenever we needed anything. Thanks for a wonderful month in Puerto Viejo!

Stayed Mar 26, 2024Overall, the property was great although there were a few things that we wish we had known. The directions provided were very confusing as a sloth sanctuary was referenced as a landmark and we never found it, so we drove too far and got lost! The property was nice and as represented, but the fact that there were no actual windows that closed made the fans and AC not very effective. Due to a cat allergy, I was unable to sit outside as there is a house cat that was VERY friendly and as soon as I sat down, the cat literally jumped into my lap and also snuck into the house as we were walking in! The bottle of wine, chocolate, beer and juice were lovely touches. The beds were quite comfortable. The proximity to the beach, provided towels and beach chairs made heading to the beach a breeze and the beach was gorgeous! If you are looking for a casual easy stay with proximity to the beach and town as well as close by supermarket, this is a great option.

Stayed Jan 22, 2024We absolutely loved the location. The house had absolutely eveeything needed for amenities. We loved the property with beautiful plants, birds and the most affectionate resident cat that we adored. We loved having our relax time in the morning or coffee time in the morning on the porch and listening to the rain or birds. We used the bikes for a stroll through the neighborhood and the beach chairs for our beach visits in the area. We cannot say enough positives. We loved our stay. Thank you also for rhw wi e, beer and chocolate. That was so kind and unexpected. We did go tour the local Organic Cocoa Farm ( Caribbeans) and really enjoyed the tour and chocolate tasting. Our host was great with communication. We highly recommend this home

Stayed Jan 14, 2024We liked the cabin very much. Big enough for the 4 of us, clean, close to Puerto Viejo, helpful check in through the agency. We can absolutely recommend the akkomodation!

Stayed Dec 7, 2023We loved staying at Casa Roble! It was a beautiful, clean, and spacious home away from home just a 3 minute walk from Playa Negra which we sometimes had all to ourselves! Bikes are provided to ride into town, or it was a quick 5 minute drive with our rental. It’s an easy drive from the house to either Cahuita or Manzanillo too! We were just a party of 2, but the house would fit 6 comfortably. The garden grounds are beautiful and the spacious front porch was perfect for morning coffee. The outdoor shower came in handy as well! The house was super clean and had all the amenities we needed. The beds were cozy and both rooms had ceiling and floor fans to keep us cool at night. Falling asleep to the rain and sounds of the jungle was so peaceful. Our hosts from RISE were quick to respond and support us with whatever we needed, thanks for making our stay so easy! There are a ton of delicious places to eat, some of our favorites were Grow, Take It Easy (weekends only), and Pura Gula for a real treat. We also highly recommend a visit to Pure Jungle Spa while you’re there. We can’t wait to visit again!
