The host was very responsive. The local area had some great bars and restaurants. Convenient to colleges and downtown. Parking was a bit challenging and mattresses could use an upgrade.

Communication with host was fantastic. He was very nice and very fast to respond even when I felt like it was very late, he was responsive. Location was good, however, it is located in a very small alley with no parking, with the big truck it did get pretty tricky at times. The house itself...a bit quirky since the location was built in 1900. The living space right when you open the door is very cute...the hexagon tiles as photographed are not there. The stairs both entering the house and inside between 4 levels are very step, broken, and can be unsafe if not cautious. The basement is unfinished with very low ceilings causing me, even at 5'4 , to bend over. The kitchen was not exactly well stocked. No can opener, no peeler, no baking sheets. I did have to rewash dishes before using them since there was food residue on practically every single item. The ac unit was still leaning out of the window with a gap causing a draft in the winter month. But it was very cute and had a very cozy feeling. The bedrooms were nice with ample pillows. Whoever the cleaning service is needs to do a bit better since there was still a lot of debris under the beds. The bathroom had a little travel kit with some amenities and lots of towels. The water is very harsh and opaque. Cost was good considering the very central location. You truly aren't far from anything. If cleanliness improved, I'd stay there again.

Vrbo please take this property off your listing immediately. This place is filled with mold and has a mold filled entryway to an unsealed basement. We checked into this property at approximately 1am on 8/14 and literally left within 30 minutes. A couple minutes after entering the living room my grandchild started have a sneak and cough attack. The place was smelly and moldy and there were mosquitoes attacking from every direction. They had paper towels stuffed around the ac unit to cover the huge gaps. At the entrance door there was also a safety inspection card left by someone from the state. This place is unhealthy for rental and I am in the process of making a formal complaint to the city of Pittsburgh. I am adding photos to prove my experience.

Upon arrival the property was dirty and in total disarray. It was under destruction, a full bucket of tools on the floor, tubes of caulking laying around. All the lights were on and there was a radio playing from the contractors that must’ve stepped out for a moment. It was totally unsafe to stay at this property because someone else had a code and was coming in and out. Our check-in time was 4 o’clock and this is at 7 o’clock in the evening. We had young children staying with us. The bedrooms upstairs Only had a bed in each room nothing else. The basement had a dirt floor and mold on the wall walls. The outside of the property was on, kept with weeds growing up through the sidewalks and garbage cans lined up against the door. The pictures that advertise this property showed rooms for a furniture, but as you will see with my pictures, most of that furniture was not even there. When I open the door to the closet, it completely fell off the hinges. I have tried for the last three days to get my refund and both the owner of the building and Verbo is refusing to reimburse me. I had to pay for a hotel room for three nights. VRBO did email me on this second day and said that the property had now been cleaned and I could check in. This was after I’ve already stayed in a hotel for two nights. I am so disappointed in VRBO. I thought it was a reputable company.
