Cara's Cottage - 2 miles from Sanford Stadium

When we got there the property had leaves and sticks all over the place. That was rectified a day later, though, and the outside looked great. The outdoor lighting could be much better- the solar pathway lights were not working. These 2 gripes are actually minor- we had a great stay and would stay there again.

Older property that needs updating. Musty smell when first entering, one heating and cooling unit located in the bedroom makes it difficult to get a comfortable temperature throughout. Weak water pressure and poor drainage in the shower, which also had prominent mold. Slight bug problem. Overall sparsely equipped compared to other similarly priced accommodations we have used in the area. Overall I would not recommend this property.

Very convenient and easy check in. Property grounds needed a little TLC. This is the 2nd of the cottages we've stayed in. They're older structures but have been updated pretty well.

Great location in five points

Great location and neighborhood. Very convenient to milledge and areas west of Athens. Shower doesn't drain well and shower valve needs to be tightened as it falls off . Musty smell because below grade and finish out the area for closet. Updated appliances and tvs. Plenty of parking

4 Star House in a Silent Neighborhood in Athens.

The host was accessible via text and very quick to respond. You could walk to the stadium in about 45 minutes to an hour (beats the high parking fees) I would have given 5 stars but it was extremely hard to find at night. No street lighting made the address very difficult to see. GPS led us too what appeared to be a radio station next door. There are multiple properties at the location. They were well labeled and easy to pick the correct one. Again, lighting was a bit of an issue. There is a steep set of iron stairs with a hand rail on one side and nothing on the other. There was a lot of dead foliage on the stairs, but someone took care of that the next day. The inside of the cottage was very clean and up-to-date with modern appliances.

Our daughter who lives in Athens is recovering from a stroke. We were there to visit and offer any help we could. Unknowingly when we chose to stay at Cara, it would be our serene get away. The setting like a peaceful English Cottage, offering comfort and convenience. I know God directed us there. Thank for sharing your home with us. Thinking it may become our GA retreat♥️

The stay was amazing! I am so grateful for such responsive communication! I would absolutely recommend staying, especially if you are visiting Athens and want to be in such close proximity to everything!
