Captain Ron's No-Wake Cove. Terrific lake views from inside home & from decks!

So many steps and staircases! But that is lake living for ya. I am also waiting for up to 6 weeks to receive my deposit back. I would think in this day and age, that the money could move quicker than that. The place was amazing. Beautiful view and close to some very good restaurants. I would recommend this place to everyone.

View is wonderful

We arrived to the property during daytime hours which is good because the driveway is tucked in and very steep. We found everything to be easily accessed and the furnishings were perfect for our stay. We rented a boat from Pirate's Point Marina (highly recommended) and we were able to secure it to the owner's dock. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. All good on our account!

Let me start by saying the home was clean, Kitchen was great, AC's worked awesome, and the Views are absolutely amazing. That being said, the decks were not as seen in the photos. There were no cushions out, no umbrella, outdoor lights were burned out. As we went to the lower deck, tables were pushed against the wall, chairs scattered all over both decks, and it took me over an hour to clean off all the tables, debris, tree limbs, and leaves. They were not in usable condition before when we arrived. That was very disappointing.

My wife and I have stayed at several VRBO over the years.This is by far the most beautiful stays ever. Randal the host was very helpful that made our stay even better than we could ever imagine. We’re definitely going to stay again.

No problems. Enjoyed the home, deck, and dock. Grandson caught 6 fish and views are wonderful!

Location was ideal. I will say, if we knew about all the restrictions to the boat we would have rented from a marina.

The home is right on the lake in a cove and the view is amazing. We had a very nice stay and all in all the house is very nice. Only things that would have made it better, the ground floor deck had empty beer cans on it, old pool noodles thrown around and a swim float. There were several patio tables pushed against each other and the house and no chairs. The gate to the top deck was not attached and propped by a chair and a brick. The dock had old bait in a container sitting on it. And the deck and the outside of the house on the decks could have been power washed as they were very dirty. The shower in the hall bath had a dried wadded up wash rag in it and the toilet wouldn’t flush properly. I attempted to text the property manager regarding the trash on the lower deck and never received a response so I didn’t bother sending anything about the other things. They weren’t a huge deal to us. The view seriously is amazing and with a little maintenance and cleaning this home could be a dream. It’s all ready very close. We did enjoy our stay very much even with these minor things.

Loved the lake front view and the quiet neighborhood. The house was nice, but lacked attention to detail on the cleanliness. Overall, a nice getaway.

Overall a nice place and great location. There were a few issues however. We were unable to drink the water, the roof leaks, and a drain on the first floor repeatedly backed up and flooded the laundry room. The property manager Ernie is very nice and was helpful.

Beautiful place and everything was perfect!

Location was beautiful, host not communicating about the water not being safe to drink until an hour before we checked in. The host was aware of this problem one week prior and did not notify us then. The explanation given by the host was he thought everything would be fixed before our stay. The fact that the host didn’t mention any problems until an hour before our check in and didn’t offer another location, modify our reservation or even refund our stay.

The house is gorgeous with incredible views of the lake. Check was smooth over the phone while still enroute and we were allowed in early, Cleaning crew was leaving as we arrived. Wi-Fi and AC worked very well all week which was a blessing due to the heat. There are some minor issues that need to be addressed, skylight leaks in the rain, which were shared with Randy. Unfortunately we could not drink the water but was advised of that just before arriving and could bring extra bottled water. Overall it was an great first experience with VRBO on the Lake of the Ozarks.

The process was easy, lots of options for rental and a clean property. Lots of spiders and webs, which was expected by the lake.

Great visit and a great property. Check-in was straightforward and easy to access the lake and surrounding areas.

This is our second stay at Randy’s. First time we stayed a week. This time we stayed two weeks. We love the location and everything about the house. It’s a great home away from home.

Property was easy to find, Ernie was very helpful ! We enjoyed a couple quick days away on the water with our kids.

We loved this place ... everything was close .. the place was clean.. boat ramp was like 3 minutes away.. gas station for boats 3 minutes away.... we just loved it.. plenty of room ....we had 6 total and comfortable

The house was amazing! The view was fantastic! Short walk to an awesome restaurant, bar, and beach! Definitely will be back!

Property was good needs some improvements deck and dock are old and are in need of repair

The house is in a good location. The view is absolutely wonderful. Our complaint was the cleanliness. The shower wasn’t cleaned. The microwave had food from previous people. Something had leaked in fridge that wasn’t cleaned out. The carpet under table looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. I’m big on cleanliness so this a big deal for me. Also we had to contact the property mgr for something. He took care of it and was very friendly. We visited HA HA State park. It’s very nice. Overall it was a good stay.

Enjoyed 8 nights of lakefront living in this beautiful home. The covered dock and boat slip were perfect in rainy weather. We fished day and night off this dock, catching limits of crappie, catfish & bass. Host was responsive to our needs, answered questions, and stayed in touch prior to check in. House was clean and everything in working order. As with most lake homes, stairs and steep inclines are expected. Would not recommend to those with mobility issues, but otherwise perfect for those who don't mind stairs in the home and leading to the water. Home is close to the water and cove is truly no-wake as advertised.

Property was very clean and had plenty of space. My son had the whole basement to himself. GREAT

Perfectly located lake house. Protected dock from the main channel and boat launch near by. The house was clean and spacious with amazing sunrises from the deck.

I really enjoyed our time at this lake house. It was very quiet and check in was well explained. I do recommend reading all the instructions prior to going, but would encourage anyone to check this place out!

Check in was easy. Property view and location is top notch. Beds/sheets clean. Towels had a musty smell when wet. Had to empty the dish washer and empty the dryer and fold. Property is older and dated but ok for the nightly price. The house could use a handyman to fix up some of the minor things that annoy homeowners. For off season it was fine. I would not stay there again. But if 250 a night is your budget then this would be just fine. Not a bad VRBO, just an older house with older house issues. 4 star for the stay. off season

We had a retirement party to go to at Papa Chubby’s so we rented this house for the weekend with two other couples. Check in was easy and the house was very nice. No issues or complaints.

Perfect place for our family Thanksgiving. Great location. Beautiful view of the lake. Plenty of space for us. Guys enjoyed fishing and family together time was much needed. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Place was roomy and clean. Great views of the lake and had a great time.

We spent a long weekend here! Kitchen and bathrooms are all updated and had the essentials! Beds were comfortable. Reading some of the other reviews, the driveway is steep but we had no issues with our vehicles or problems walking up and down. The top deck was great, we didn’t use the lower deck as there were lots of cobwebs. The dock was well used, My husband caught lots of fish! It is on a very quiet part of the lake. The neighbors are very friendly! We throughly enjoyed our stay!

Property, owner, and manager were great. The house had nice and comfortable amenities and contained everything you would need to spend your vacation here. House is in close proximity to stores, restaurants, bars etc. And the view from the deck is amazing. Would definitely recommend.

This property was everything I wanted it to be. We were two couples and a single friend, but there were more beds available in the house. We swam off the private dock, made our meals in the house, and played the games we brought with us. If you forget something, like we did, of course, there's a supermarket and Dollar General nearby.

Excellent communication. Well equipped kitchen. Beautiful location. Close to grocery store. Very quiet cove even though Captain Ron’s is within walking distance. Sunrise on the deck, nice view of the sky at night. It was perfect for our family.

The house is just as it is pictured. Close to stores/gas station if anything is needed. Great dock to swim from and a good spot on the lake for boating! Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful stay with an AMAZING view! The view, dock and swimming is what made this place for sure! We had 6 of us staying and the inside living room was a little small, but the view was so worth it!
